Which is the best Score/Soundtrack of the three movies?

X-Men, Kamen

X2: X-Men United, Ottman

X-Men: The Last Stand, Powell

Disclaimer: I searched and found nothing. My apologies if such a thread has been made.

I think the third one is the best on his own (it didn't work well in some parts of the movie it was too loud and distracting)

The second one worked great with the movie (the final scene were Jean is saving the jet...) but isn't fun to listen to.

Make sense? :)

Oh yes, I agree totally. My vote is probably for both X2 and TLS for similar reasons.

X3 is the best by miles, but the X2 one is ok, but X3 is the best.

I got a track from X2 on right now, the Goodbye one, its great.

I liked it that X3 music was loud in some parts made it better.

I agree with Bastila. X3 was the best to me, thats why I voted for it. X1...forgetable. But X2 was also good in some ways.

I really liked X2 because of its themes it incorporated for each character. X3 is just all around great. But they both do splendidly for each movie.

Wait...in X3, Storm didn't have her music everytime she used her power :( . In X2 and X1 everytime she used her power they played the goddess type music..damn! I already voted for X3.:down

^
Well Scott and Jean had there own theme and Phoenix got her own theme so ha lol, joking.

Yeah Phoenix got hers in X3. But the only time Storm got it while she was using her powers were only twice while in X1, and X2, she did it everytime...   Boo X3!:down :down

i like the X3 one!! lol

Well at least Storm had alot more lines and screen time be happy for that.

No, no, no... haha. X3's score, too, had themes. They were just a bit meshed. Listen to number 14, I think Dark Phoenix's Tragedy, and the beginning part is like a mesh between a Wolverine and Storm theme. It's unique and cool.

I didn't vote yet - I'll vote for you if you want :p

Powell's X3, far and away. It's truly an excellent score. Kamen's is second. Ottman's is dead last--too bland and forgettable.

BTW - x-2 soundtrack had the best x-men theme (opening credits). I wish they'd use it in x-1 and x-3 as well.

X2- I think that the music made much more sense with what was going in the movie-and more dramatic. And the X3 movie... was more artifitial imo.

I am happy for that..just not with the music.......I want my goddess music!

Personally, I like Kamen's score the best. There's no x-men "march" in his score, but I think that his stuff was pretty subtle and personal, which fit the moments between Logan and Rogue perfectly. "Logan's sacrifice" is a fantastic scene, and the music is one of the reasons for it. The brotherhood scenes are done very well too. Like I said, it's not over the top or too serious, but feels just right.

I still like Ottman's X2 score, but I was dissapointed with some parts of it, and felt the strongest part was his X2 theme and the music for nightcrawler's attack. The music builds up when the x-men break through the spillway, but falls flat by quickly changing scenes and not showing the x-men plus mags marching through, which I hate- since Ottman was the editor as well, I blame him (plus, Cyke fans, he's the one responsible for cutting/editing down Cyclops vs. the guards/Deathstrike fight).

X3 has a good score- love the x-men march for that one and how prevalent it is whenever there's a little x-men mission going on (and I enjoy the wolvie vs. pheonix and jean grey vs. xavier stuff), but still felt that it wasn't quite as good as X1. The march is great when the x-men arrive at alcatraz, the first time we've seen a scene like that because of Ottman's cutting it out of X2.

I loved the X2 soundtrack the best i think and many of the themes in X1 and X3.

I loved X3 it was a bit more dramatic and I loved the Phoenix theme, but I liked Ottman's theme because it seemed really comic-bookish.

She didn't need music...

Is there an extended fight scene with Cyclops vs the guards and lady strike?
