I'm putting together my Christmas list, and for WW I want to get to know her New 52 version, since that is reportedly what the DCEU film characterization of her will be based on.

I'd like to limit the number of issues to one or two issues for now. (I'm doing the same thing for all of the DCEU's JL members.) Which WW New 52 volumes would you recommend to give me a good view of how this character seems likely to appear in the DCEU films? (Based on what we know, etc.)

Thanking you in advance!

I don't think the DCEU version will only crib from New 52. They're embracing all of her eras for reference. As far as origin in New 52 I guess Wonder Woman #0.

Thanks for the feedback! It looks like the origin story may be stretched out over several issues. I'll probably just have to read the synopses of the first half dozen or so issues of the New 52 comic book for her to try to get a good picture of how she gets her start in the New 52; and then pick the two that seem to provide the clearest picture. I'm focusing on the New 52 since I need to keep things narrowed down, and it has been stated in a number of articles that New 52 will be the main source material inspiration for her.

Best I can see, Wonder Woman New 52 volumes 1-6 pretty much lay out the new origin. To stay within budget for Christmas this year I guess I'll just start with volume 1 and then order one per month afterward. (Also doing the same for the other DCEU JL members.)

Sorry I missed this until now, but yeah, the New 52 origin is detailed with the first trade I'm pretty sure. In fact, it may actually be the only time where any detail has actually gone into the new origin. I'm not aware of another book that has really covered it.
