Nah. I'll try it again if and when Wally shows up or Bart is revealed to be connected to Barry again or Iris and Barry get together. Basically, I'm glad Barry's back to being his upbeat Silver Age self, but I need his world to reflect the Flash family I love and followed all the way through the Waid, Millar, Morrison, and Johns runs. I get an uneasy feeling that something's not right when I read this version of The Flash and I know I won't be able to look at it fairly because of how unbelievably f***ed over Rebirth and Flashpoint have left... well, basically everyone who's not Barry. That's a pretty strong list, Corp.
No interest in Flash?![]()
Do you have something against the rest of the alphabet besides A or something?![]()
Sound logic.Nah. I'll try it again if and when Wally shows up or Bart is revealed to be connected to Barry again or Iris and Barry get together. I read Frankenstein and could not for the life of me understand why everyone else is so crazy for it. It's the literary character as a superhero. Big deal. The exclusion of Frankenstein is upsetting, though.
No, it's more than that.I read Frankenstein and could not for the life of me understand why everyone else is so crazy for it. It's the literary character as a superhero. Big deal.
None of that really interests me. Hellboy is so great because of the atmosphere Mignola infuses that world with, plus Hellboy himself is a lot more charismatic than Frankenstein, who was boring and grumpy in the issue. SHIELD is great because it's super-spy stuff in the midst of a world with recognizable superheroes and stuff. Frankenstein seemed to go out of its way to not feature anything recognizable from the DC universe in this issue. Frankenstein just gets called to investigate some random threat. No, it's more than that.
It's the literary character as a super hero secret agent. It's like crossing Hellboy with SHIELD and the Seven Soldiers of Victory. It's three levels of awesome.
It's the introduction of the classic monster quartet (vampire, werewolf, aquathing, and mummy) in a pretty fresh and new way.
It's dr. Frankenstein being an 11yo girl...and not thinking it's odd.
It's how Jeff Lemire interjects all of his writing with this demure infusion of the bizarre and weird.
Plus Ray Palmer is in it.
It's petty, but that literally made me lose tons of respect for you.I've never really been into the "classic monster quartet" because I never watched those old Universal B-movies. They're random monsters to me and I'm not really impressed by just seeing them
