Playstation Which PlayStation classic do you want Sony to do a remaster or a remake for the PS5?

I would buy a remaster of God of War I and God of War II, especially I already have God of War III remaster. Ico too since I've played Last Guardian and Shadow of the Colossus. Infamous 1 and 2, since I have the two other Infamous games. They would look good in my shelf as Sony first party games are displayed side by side in my shelf, except for Sony Spider-Man games (they are displayed next to Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel VS Capcom).

For remakes, if they are going to remake Shadow of the Colossus, I would want it to look a bit different. Like different camera shots for the cutscenes. I would like it to look so photo realistic to the point, I would be scared to see the colossus because they look so real. And if they could add more Colossus (yeah I know some people won't like that) but I've finished that game like 5 times back in the PS2, so i want real changes.

A lot of people complain about these remasters, but I'm surpised a lot of PS1/2/3 Sony games that aren't playable in PS4, still haven't made their way to PS5. I don't keep up with the PS2/1 games that are now available playable through PS Plus. But I'm not sure if those games can be bought as a separate game for the ps4/5? The earlier Ratchet/Clank games, the inactive Sony franchises like Resistance/Killzone, etc.

Right now off the top of my head, Littlebigplanet 2, and the Resistance trilogy.

Metal gear solid 4 is a solid one 4 sure, but that's already being rumored to getting remastered

Remaster:
Marvel's Spider-Man
Nioh (PSN)
Nioh 2 (PSN)
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
The Last of Us: Part II
Horizon -I- Zero Dawn

Remake:
Demon's Souls
The Last of Us: Part I
Until Dawn
Knights of the Old Republic (upcoming)

From 2020 to 2024 - PS5 era.

Second the Resistance trilogy. Love those games. With Capcom on a remake streak, would love to see a Dino Crisis remake.

Ah yes KOTOR, a known PlayStation classic... :hehe:

if we are going with games that aren't exclusive, I'd love a Need for Speed Underground 2 remastered. there have been plenty of racing games that have come and gone since then, but none have hit as hard as NFSU2 for me

Infamous 1 is still the best game in that series to me, so I'd love to get a crack at that game again.

i stick with the original ps2 graphics. i prefer original graphics

I absolutely agree with this when it comes to the Spyro reignited trilogy, and SpongeBob rehydrated.

Both of the remakes had a saturated color palette compared to the charming palette of their respective originals. It was so unattractive to me that I skipped out on both and would still rather play the Ps2 versions

God of War I
God of War II

I don't like how of these games are exclusive to PS Plus though. Like I would like to play Resident Evil Director's Cut (after more than 2 decades), but a PS Plus Premium is required. The older Siphon Filter games are also accessible via PS Plus only.

They just did the same thing with Dino Crisis. People were waiting for that release only to find they couldn't just buy the game outright. Really gross move on Sony's part.

Weird how Capcom agreed to it. How these ports are tied only to Ps plus, confuse me. Surely Capcom would want extra sales from paid downloads? And I don't think these older games are going to be big sellers for the current consoles, for them to be a PS Plus exclusive.

If Sony/developers found out a way to emulate ps1/2games for ps4/5, I don't think owners of the console need to sign up for a subscription service. An online update/downloading the game online would do the trick.

add it to the list of really gross moves on Sony's part this generation

I guess Sony pays Capcom something for it, similar to an exclusivity window, and as sales will be fairly low Capcom are happy to do so. It's a cheap trick, but it probably works at getting someone to subscribe for a month just to play a couple of things. Scummy tactics.
