Which of Smallville's 10 seasons is your favourite?

For me its still season 9, Smallville had a little trouble moving on from the loss of Lex in season 8 but with the introduction of Zod and the Kandorians in the ninth season the show truly moved on from his loss. That in part was greatly helped by Callum Blue's awesome portrayal as Zod. Clark wearing the S symbol (even if it was in a black a strict style outfit) was great to see. The series really nailed it from start to finish, many of the episodes were fantastic. The JSA two parter was a major highlight and that was when the show truly embraced it's comic book routes. Another highlight of the season was Metallo but for me the best part of the season was the episode Pandora that gave us a look at what would have happened had Zod's plans come to fruition. The series then finished off with the best season finale of the shows entire run. Those reasons and many more are why season 9 is for me the very best, Infact it's so good I'd still put it up there alongside any season of any other CB TV show.

I like Season 4(with Season 1 a close second).

In general I just prefer the lighter tone to both seasons. Comparing both I think Season 4 had stronger episodes and I think it added much needed humor to the show(something lacking in most other seasons). Season 1 had the advantage that I could watch an entire episode without being annoyed by one thing in it(ie the whole Lana was a witch scenes weren't my cup of tea in Season 4, that being said Lana storylines in Season 1 weren't a huge selling point to me so......)

Season 3 is my favorite as a whole. The Lex going crazy story is amazing. The finale still has my favorite final 5 minutes of any episode.

Every season has some fantastic episodes though.

So much cool stuff in that season, the creation of the FoS, the missile catch, Milton Fine (Brainiac), Arthur Curry, "Lexmas", death of Jonathan Kent, Cyborg, Zod, etc.

Agreed, season 5 was pretty awesome. Just introducing Brainiac puts that season in the top.

I'm a first time viewer. Never really watched the show the first time round, gave up on in the first season only for some reason. Am now halfway through season 3. Really liking the show so far.

I voted 9 because it was redemption after years of crap. But the shows zenith was seasons 1 2 and 3.

Now this is a thread I need to comment on!

I liked Season 9 and 10 and I liked the Season 11 comics the most.

That said though, this show and its seasons now rarely holds up compared to the current CW Arrowverse shows.

Definitely season 9 because it was the most Superman-like. Season 10 could've been great, but there were things I didn't like. 8th season would be my third. Followed by the first 4 seasons because it was Clark's high school years and more in line with AlMiles' vision.

I just didn't care for seasons 5-7 because this was where Clark was stationary and there was nothing there for him, except for Lana Lang.

They really underdeveloped the Darskseid storyline (infact it's partly why I feel Darskeid was a poor choice as they didn't have the budget to cope with him). Still there were some gems in there like Saviour and Homecoming. Plus the Booster Gold episode was well gold lol.

For me, season 2 and 3 were best, followed by some episodes of season 9 and some episodes of season 10.
