Arrow Which Season Villain Is Better?

Merlyn or Deathstroke? Both are well done, I wanted to see what you all think.

I think Slade/Deathstroke is muuuch better. Merlyn was okay, but Slade is just a total monster lol He's really making Oliver suffer, and the guy killed his mother!

Dark Archer is awesome, but Slade might be the best villain since Ledger's Joker.

Merlyn is great, but Slade is on another level. More evil, more relentless, and an absolute boss.

Hard to decide. I have to go with Malcolm Merlyn. Overall good villain who you feel some sympathy for. At least I do anyway.

Slade is a good villain as well though.

Deathstroke has had much more build up.

It will be interesting to see how us fans think about Merlyn when Season 3 starts.

I've gotta go Malcolm.Although,I think this season is by far better than last.(And I'm not sure they've done any favors to the character so far this season)

Slade is great though.But I buy Malcolm's motivation more.TBH,the whole "Miricuru made me crazy-I see Shadooooooo!" takes a point or two off the character.Just MHO.

This is tough. Because I still remember how brutal the first fight with the Dark Archer was. And as the second season is wrapping up, I liked last season's final arc more.

But still, Deathstroke has been pretty awesome. He's unstoppable and he killed Moira. He has Dark Archer in power, and while Dark Archer's plan seemingly would've been more destructive, Deathstroke's villainy is more personal. And Deathstroke's plan has produced a response from Amanda Waller that might rival or surpass the destruction Dark Archer wanted to wreak.

So I'll have to go with Deathstroke.

Well don't act like Slade's plan came up empty. In fact he's done far more damage to Oliver than Merlyn has.

I really like Slade in terms of overall insanity and wanting to cause personal harm to Oliver and his loved ones, but Merlyn was better, he leveled an entire area of the city, He didn't really cause a ton of destruction aside from that, but the fact that Slade's whole thing is " You gave me Mirakiru, it made me crazy, I have visions of Shado " kind of takes away from him.

Slade plan is still undergoing, the final result has yet to come.

Merlyn killed Ollie's father and best friend, banged his mom behind his father's back, fathered his sister, was the reason he was trapped on that island, and destroyed his city while Ollie helplessly watched. Slade no slouch in that department, but to suggest that he has done "far more damage" is asinine.

I love Merlyn, but come one, Slade wipes the floor with most villains.

Merlyn is a better "villain" he was doing whether Ollie was Green Arrow or not.

Slade is a personal enemy to Oliver and is only attacking the city because Oliver has been working to clear it up.

I certainly feel the main villains have been the series strongest point so far.

Merlyn for me.

Better motivation, acting (on Barrowman's part), and a more focused plan. Also although Slade has been portrayed as unstoppable the entire season, he's somewhat undermined in my opinion by the fact that we know Oliver somehow defeated him in the past whereas with Merlyn, we had no idea if Oliver could beat him.

Killing his mom in front of him > "banging" his mom when he was 9 years old (Is fathering his half sister really that much damage to him? Hasn't seemed like it)
Killing his mom = killing his dad

Merlyn was Ollie's Ras Al Ghul.

But Deathstroke is his Joker.

Well Slade is back on the island trapped in a hole, de-powered, his army decimated and plan failed.

While Merlyn is alive, free, and now with his daughter while Ollie is in ignorance a year after destroying half of Starling


Still like Slade more, but Merlyn takes the cake.
