I think Wendy and Marc hinted that we'll see what Vigilante looks like unmasked in S6. Hope we see a lot more of him. Kind of wanted to see Oliver recruit him to Lian Yu, but it was still a great episode.

I was actually happy that they had Boomerang join Chase because I just couldn't take Artemis as a serious threat of someone to be excited about in being on his team.

It's too bad that we never got a chance to see Slade fight Prometheus in this episode.

Appears that this scene was cut

Which sucks since this episode definitely left me wanting more Black Siren.

I think this will be like the Moldovan Massacre in Dynasty that ended one season. Everyone was shot. Everyone survived apart from a couple of more minor characters.

Were we to believe in the pilot that Oliver had actual long hair and a beard? It was all fake all that time? I wish it had really grown that long to match up with the pilot instead of having to shove on a wig at the last second.

He shaved it off in the pilot bt they changed it to a glue on....They knew where they had to go so dont know why they didnt plan properly.

They could have easily done the more logical and accurate route and acknowledge that often times the flash backs take place over a very short amount of time compared to the flash forwards so they should be back further than 5 years, thus they could keep this ending intact only he misses the boat and has to wait and manages to get lucky later on.

Maybe he shaved off his glued on beard and went to the hairdresser to have his wig cut.

I can see the hairdresser getting out the razor or scissors and cutting away and then realising he can make his work much quicker by just pulling it off.

I thought Oliver putting the fake hair and beard on at the last minute before he left looked ridiculous. Surely he could've said that he met someone on the island who gave him a trim every now and then but didn't make it off the island as well?

But I agree they didn't plan properly if they wanted to keep that.

The finale was very well-done. I definitely enjoyed all the big moments and little moments that the episode had to offer, and I liked how all the characters got their moments in the spotlight and had a chance to shine. Having Slade back was especially welcome, and seeing him in action again was a real treat. Most of the fight scenes were really fun to watch, and the whole story had an appropriately epic feel.

The only weaknesses in this episode were: 1) Artemis was pretty pointless to the story overall; and 2) The scene in the flashback where Oliver was scrambling to put on the wig and fake beard was kind of weird. Other than that, the episode was great.

It was so touching when they showed the scene in the flashbacks where Oliver calls his mother. Seeing Susana Thompson back as Moira for that one scene was great. I've definitely missed her; she's a tremendously poised and skillful actress.

I wish that in his struggle to put on the wig and beard quickly, Oliver had his hair on wonky and a bit of his beard or moustache was losing its glue and coming off when he showed up at home.

Top 3 "Arrow" episode. There's the Pilot, The Promise, and now this. Man what an episode.

Glad we all agree that wig stuff was STUPID. My only complaint. Amell really didn't want to wear a beard, huh?

If it was always a wig and fake beard, then why can't Ollie wear that when he goes into battle as Green Arrow? It would help to disguise him more and would look closer to the comics. He looks very recognisable as the Mayor when he's in his arrow costume.

Or did he destroy the fake beard by actually shaving that to give him the beard he always had underneath it anyway?

I love picturing Stephen trying to jam his new wig on top of his standard flashback wig on set.

We're soon going to find out that Stephen Amell is really bald and clean shaven, and that he puts on his normal Arrow hair followed by his flashback wig followed by the pilot wig.

Now the question is: if Ollie couldn't find his long wig in the frantic rush, would he have just missed the boat?

BTW, the episode could easily have served as a series finale, albeit a tragic end to the series.

i agree. I enjoyed seeing both of them back in action. Mr. Bennet is a hell of a deathstroke

Manu Bennet deserves a lot of credit for his portrayal of Deathstroke a) because its badass, and b) because he's nothing like that in real life.

I saw MB when he was down here for a convention 2 years ago, and he's actually very well spoken and doesn't exude testosterone.

Would love to see more of him in the Arrowverse, he was definitely a highlight of the season finale (and the finale itself was great).

After this finale, I need to Arrow to NEVER bring in Ninjas again. They are useless and are never allowed to do their job properly. Rene is a guns kind of guy, he should not be able to beat these guys so easily and none of them came away with any scratches it was annoying.

The only minor disappointment from this episode for me is the fact that we didn't get a surprise appearance from Ragman or Arsenal.

Whose hairbrained idea was it to give Ollie a wig? :o

During those 5 years, how long was Ollie actually on that island? With him getting off the island, hanging out in civilization, getting trained to be an assassin or whatever, and probably still remembering the feeling of a comfy bed pretty well, it ruins this scene from Season 1 for me.

Well it ruins the narration at the beginning. He wasn't really 5 years in hell. Some of the time was just like an extended mission similar to what he might be doing today.

He spent like 2 1/2 years on the island? He was still able to sex it up with girls, have a roof over his head. That was the big disappointment of the flashbacks. His hell wasn't as hellish as it should've been from what we saw in S1.

They should've had him being freak out about being put back on the island and he should've been alone on it to fend for himself for at least a couple of months.

How long was he supposed to have been on the island when he was put back there?

And if he was going back there just so that he could be rescued from there, why couldn't he have been rescued from somewhere else and just say he was rescued from Lian Yu?

Yeah, I thought their help would have been quite an asset. I thought at least the Ragman kid should have reappeared for the finale anyhoo.
