I see the resemblance, but that doesn't mean I dislike the designs. Doctor Octopus looked like a chubby Inspector Gadget, but that doesn't mean I love his design any less.

I don't care for the design, therefore in my humble opinion... it is the worst for me and me alone. To you, it was very visually pleasing but to me... it was pretty boring (save for those arms). Magneto at the beginning of X-Men 1 + cool arms = Raimi Ock.

Lizard, I liked. Sure it could've been better but other than that it was Ditko's Lizard sans Labcoat... and I love that design (he looked better when he wore the lab coat in that short but sweet scene).

Electro looked like Ultimate Electro... best way to go, IMO. He was bright, he stood out... he was a visual spectacle! HE LOOKED AMAZING on screen.

Dane's Goblin? The costume could've use a little work and the skin could've been greener but hey, at least it wasn't Snowboarding Paintball guy in the sky!!

Villian designs are the most subjective things in film and comparing them to other characters from other media does NOT make your opinion and subjective view of the character any more objectiive.

Green goblin looks like a power ranger
Ock is generic guy with tentacles #6
Sandman generic guy with shirt that looks like my sandpit
New goblin looks like the mannequin in my camping store
Venom looks like a really purple version of that 4th alien to the left in the movie "alien"
Lizard looks like a goomba!! xd
Electro looks like a smurf/other blue person/ other blue person/ jellyfish (for some reason)
Harry just took a grade A death serum and looks like a meth addict, or evil Ed!! Another guy that looks like a meth addict!!

So what. Doesn't change anything subjectively and I think respect should go to people who can accept the subjectivitity of the topic

I uh... I like the look of every villain.

I like the look of Doc Ock, I don't hate it at all. I just don't think it's anything special compared to the rest of the Spidey movie villains. So in a scenario where some crazy person put a gun to my head and said "who's the worst looking spidey movie villain?" i'd pick Doc Ock because he's my least favourite, despite liking them all.

It's like cabbages. The taste isn't anything special, it's kinda bland... but I like them.

That plus the arms is Raimi's Doc Ock? Are you legally blind?

The face looked nothing like Ditko's Lizard. He didn't even wear pants when he had the lab coat on for that one scene.

The only time he looked like Ultimate Electro was when he was in pure blue electricity form.

That's a great rationalization. At least he didn't look as bad as another villain I don't like. It's like saying this piece of crap doesn't stink as bad as this piece.

He wore a fedora for like 10 seconds in the bank scene, and his tench coat looks NOTHING like Inspector Gadget's, nor does the rest of his costume.
