Who can beat Magneto?

look think about this. sure a bunch of those guys could take down magneto. but lets be real. thanos is never gunna feel like fighting magneto and if he does get me that issue. who is on magneto's kinda down-to-earth level can actually beat him? the x-men? he owns them. they barely beat him most of the time (yes you do owe phoenix and grant morrison a thank you). avengers? no way. spiderman? thats a good one. Lets be real, most of the people magneto fights are owned. Rarely does he get defeated in a landslide. give the master of magnetism the credit he deserves. for his league, hes amazing. the star of AAA looks like a loser in the the majors. think about it

Monica Rambeau (Photon/Captain Marvel) took him out quite easily once. She should be able to do it again -- faster than he could react, actually.

I also agree with ssj wolverine's list, except for Prof. X and Apocalypse: Xavier cannot easily defeat Magneto when he has his defences up, and Mags only needs a moment to beat Chuck unconscious with his own wheelchair. And AoA Apocalypse was killed by Magneto who had lost half of his power. At full power, Magnus would OWN Apoc.

Like Apocalypse is ever written correctly. AOA should of occured when Apocalypse was fighting the Babalonians. How did he not succeed against swords and fire sticks?

I think Magneto could take a majority over Thanos if he doesnt have the Infinity Gauntlet.

Actually, just to put this out there, Peter Parker HAS used impact webbing on a couple of occasions. But I don't think he can now that his webshooters are organtic.

Eh...Magneto's one of the most powerful Earth based super powered anythings. I know Sentry, possibly Thor, and a few others can take him, but baring non cosmics it's not an incredibly long list. Xavier can't beat him because Mags usually protects himself from psychics and would have to have his helmet removed which Xavier can't do under his own power. Any hero with metal on their costume or in their body and can't take it off in under a second and has no anti magnetic device or something gets owned. Any hero that can't fly is also at a disadvantage as they can't reach him unless they toss something hard enough to break thru his forcefield and he doesn't dodge it. Anyone with normal blood is also at a disadvantage.

Edit - Not saying he's unbeatable, just mean't it's not enough that more ppl beat him than ppl he can beat like you implied. Magneto's a lot tougher than some seem to think of him as being.

Also while I like Wolverine, Magneto should (and has) be able to rip him apart litterally.

Really good post. While I am also a Wolverine fan, look what he has done to Logan, not cool. I also feel that Magneto is alot tougher than most of these post's feel him to be.

Interesting point about the "normal" blood, that would pretty much cover about 80% of the characters out there.....

Theres an antidote for violent trauma to various part of your body? Wow where do I get some? Maybe Super Dave Osborne has some... (Cookie for whoever gets the reference). BTW since when is Doom and Iron man over 1000 years old?

I remember a show on tv long ago called "Bizzare". It starred John Byner and had a character named Super Dave Osborne. Each week Super Dave would do these ridiculous stunts that always ended up with him getting maimed in one way or another. It was kind of like South Park with Kenny dying every week, you tuned in just to see how Super Dave would bite it each week.

I know he used reilly's web shooters when he was under the guise of the hornet since he utilised the web shooters but i can't recall him using the impact webbing sections.

I read somewhere that Doom is the villain that can beat all of them. They had this countdown of the strongest villains in Wizard Magazine, and Domm was number one. Anyone have that mag?
