The victim of a poor salary/contract negotiation. Her death wasn't planned it was forced onto the writers due to her contract expiring. So, while Eden was technically the first major death it wasn't planned that way. However, whoever is going to kick the bucket in the next few episodes was always meant to be the first major character killed.

This is like the 2nd or 3rd thread in here where you're talking about gay characters (He's not gay, who is gay, I wish he was gay).
There's an interview floating around where Tim Kring said there are going to be gay characters at some point in the show.(calm down)

Perhaps I should've worded it a little better. I meant first death of a major character.

The character of Eden was always considered a supporting character.

"Jessica" is Nikki, so vote for her if that's your vote. I know they could say Jessica is killed leaving only Nikki, but since the writers said that many people will probably be upset by the death, I take that as meaning that an actor/actress is leaving the show. That would mean if one personality is going to get offed, it'll be both.

Zach is not there because he, like Eden, has always been a supporting character, not a "regular" starring one. So the way I take it, it's one of the 12 characters that are billed every episode as "Starring" and not "Guest Starring".

Of course, I could just be misunderstanding what they said...

That they try to kill Nikki and Jessica somehow sacrifices herself to save Nikki and then Nikki goes berserk

Isaac could die but I doubt they would let one of the main heroes to kill him. I can see Sylar killing him but not peter.
