Comics Which Goblin will die? Which Goblin do you want to die?

First of all, I would have never entered if I knew it was an "Ultimate" thread. But since the word was lacking anywhere, I made my initial post... where I was called a racist by someone who obviously does not know the meaning of the word.

Secondly, I first read that "quote" in old Asterix books back in the 70's, where it was a "j" instead of the "i" (which I did know about), but I use the "j" because it has a greater meaning to me and both spellings are generally accepted.

But I do like Green Goblin more. Why does he have to die?

He's one of my favorite Ultimate characters.

I vote Hobgoblin. He's cool too.

Hmmmmmmmmm.... nope. Doesn't come off as being "funny" at all.

It's not a funny "Oh my god I'm dieing of laughter" joke it was just a joking coment.

I'm not too sure which will die. The Ultimate Universe usually mimics 616 but both of these men have died there in the past so it's tough to say. I'm hoping Harry will die saving Peter, because if Norman kills him that will increase his vendetta with Spider-Man ten fold.
It would also be interesting to see Norman "die" and Harry become a real evil villain in order to mistakenly avenge his father.
Another possibility, proposed by Jack Skellington, is that they may simply be cured of their Goblinism, which would be fine by me.
I hope the next step in the Green Goblin and Hobgoblin's evolutions will be for them to grab a glider and toss some pumpkins bombs. I think the fact that they mutated into monsters due to their genetic tampering makes more sense then simply wearing a halloween costume in order to organize a world wide crime syndicate, but now that GG sort of has the mutation under control, its time for him to get soem gadgets.

GG doesn't need a Glider or Pumpkin Bombs, he can fly and create/throw Fire Bombs.

Harry needs to die and Norman needs to become more of a mastermind war lord type.

I'm aware of the Green Goblin's powers, I'm just being nostalgic. Let the 616 Universe keep the goofy masks, but lend us the artillery, pointless as it may be.

Ultimate Hobgoblin bothers me, if only because he's so freaking redundant. We already have a Goblin--Harry's transformation should have waited until after Norman died. It's up there with the only other thing that really bothers me in Ultimate Spider-Man (that being Gwen Stacy's quick death). But I digress...

I'd really rather not have Norman die, though I do feel as if it is inevitable. I think this Norman is astonishingly well written, and his evil monologues he gives to Peter give me shivers up my spine. The Green Goblin isn't a terribly exciting supervillian in Ultimate (and I'd wish they'd tone down his spikes and fire back to the look in Legacy pre-overdose), but Norman is absolutely brilliant.

Spider-Man vs. Hobgoblin in that one issue was one of the best comic battles I've seen.
