They just mentioned the infinity gems a little while ago in "the illuminati". They can't honestly expect us to believe that that bunch of egos would seriously be able to hold on to those gems for long without one of them wanting to use them do they?
I figure with comic fans always being nostalgic it would be awesome if they let one of the modern writers try his hand at a new infinity gauntlet epic.
Thoughts?
As a sidenote: I thought WWH was utter trash, even moreso considering that each of the illuminati has a gem, knew Hulk was coming and would destroy as much as he could, yet none of them used their gems which would have guaranteed absolute victory with a zero body count. Wow, they're heroic AND geniuses.
Sidenote 2: Blackbolt had the space gem, does that mean now the Skrulls have it?
Sidenote 3: I also find it interesting that Iron Man has the reality gem and could certainly bring Cap back from the dead and it's never even mentioned that he's considered this despite all of his emotional grief. Sure, they could possibly excuse why he wouldn't use it, but to not even portray him considering it?
Sidenote 4: Who in the heck thought it was a good idea to entrust a loose cannon like Namor with the time gem?!
