Who else thinks they should make a new Infinity Gauntlet mini?

They just mentioned the infinity gems a little while ago in "the illuminati". They can't honestly expect us to believe that that bunch of egos would seriously be able to hold on to those gems for long without one of them wanting to use them do they?

I figure with comic fans always being nostalgic it would be awesome if they let one of the modern writers try his hand at a new infinity gauntlet epic.

Thoughts?

As a sidenote: I thought WWH was utter trash, even moreso considering that each of the illuminati has a gem, knew Hulk was coming and would destroy as much as he could, yet none of them used their gems which would have guaranteed absolute victory with a zero body count. Wow, they're heroic AND geniuses.

Sidenote 2: Blackbolt had the space gem, does that mean now the Skrulls have it?

Sidenote 3: I also find it interesting that Iron Man has the reality gem and could certainly bring Cap back from the dead and it's never even mentioned that he's considered this despite all of his emotional grief. Sure, they could possibly excuse why he wouldn't use it, but to not even portray him considering it?

Sidenote 4: Who in the heck thought it was a good idea to entrust a loose cannon like Namor with the time gem?!

The gems are too powerful for one man. The Illuminati knew this and that is why they have not used them. They know they would stop at one force or one life. But then thats what your wondering. Why havent these men abused the power. God forbid they have enough self control.

You just referred to a group that includes Namor and then said "self-control". That's funny :)

C'mon! Nobody thinks a new infinity gauntlet event could be awesome?

The Living Tribunal has officially banned any one being from using the gems at once; were it to happen, the target being would probably be Universe Pwn'd before he got his wits about him.

Aw c'mon they get around stuff like that all the time. They could have Peter Parker trade in his one true love to Mephisto and then...

Dude it's gonna happen, that is pretty much why they brought it up in the Illuminati mini. The Gems aren't just gonna sit there forever and be forgotten, it's gonna happen sooner or later.

The Living Tribunal has the ability to negate the use of the Infinity Gems, even when they all have been united.

Only Thanos with the Heart of the Infinite was stronger, and that didn't last.

But, that is assuming whoever did some Infinity War Rehash actually recalled all this.

Dr. Doom's first reaction if he found out Namor had one of the gems would probably be to try to kill him and take it from him. The Skrulls also should have one, but that may be referenced, if anywhere, in WAR OF KINGS by Abnett & Lanning. Their empire is in chaos, though, so it could fall through the cracks like many treasures of fallen empires. The chaos of ANNIHILATION caused Warlock to lose his Soul Gem (which Dr. Strange now has) and it drove him mad for a while coping without it.

Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic are likely responsible enough not to use it, as they know the consequences of doing so. Especially in that ILLUMINATI issue where, pretty much, Uatu shook his head at Reed even considering using them combined.

Handy checklist.

Man, I hope so. The infinity gauntlet is still the best "event" story Marvel's ever done in my opinion.

My dream would be if Marvel could somehow scheme their way to getting Geoff Johns to write it and get McNiven to draw it.

Yeah, that's a really handy list. I'm planning to get the Thanos 12 issue series and the Thanos quest series sometime in the next year or so. I'm a huge Thanos fan.

Great for the Living Tribunal, writers are more powerful the the Living Tribunal. If Marvel wants to do it which they probably will, thats probably what Annihilation, AConquest, War of Kings is leading to.

I like Thanos but I've missed most of his stuff since around the time of Infinity War. I read Infinity Crusade but nothing else around that time period and nothing since with him in it until just recently where I read Marvel: The End, which led into the 12 issue Thanos series... which then indirectly led us to Annihilation. Marvel: The End was better than I expected it to be. Not exactly Infinity Gauntlet, but definately good.

And for the record.... I plan on getting EVERYTHING War Of Kings related :)

Here's a question...

Did they ever explain the chronology of the Illuminati having the gems, and the Infinity Watch having the gems?
