Who Framed Roger Rabbit = Pure Genius

Not really. There's been Cool World, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, and Monkeybone who've tried to do similar things, and haven't been as successful.

Holy ****.

Its close, but still not her:(

One of my all time favorite movies. I wish they would do something similar with comicbook characters.

Part of me wants a sequel. But another part of me doesn't want the original tainted by a poorly made sequel... I would only want it if it's done by all the original people behind the first, though of course some of them are no longer with us.

And humuna humuna humuna for Heidi...

There are probably a couple others I can't think of off the top of my head.

Just saying, no movie was ever able to do again what Roger Rabbit did.

Also recognize that Roger Rabbit has absolutely NO CGI.

Most kids who grew up in the early 90s wanted to be Batman. I wanted to be Eddie. :o

No Im serious, Id ****ing make a tunnel out of boxes and drive through it in my power wheels hoping to enter ToonTown.

I remember hearing they were trying to make a prequel--about the Valient Brothers all the way to Eddie's brother getting smashed by the piano, but they decided it wouldn't work.

I bet the only thing keeping Hollywood from making that prequel now is the fact that they couldn't get all the Disney and WB cartoon characters together on-screen again.

Anyone else agree? Ofcourse you do. it's one of the most fun movies ever made. Well acted, beautifully animated and clever aswell.

Give it up for this piece of film-history.

I still remember seeing it at the theater, I think I was about eight.

I need to buy it. It was so cool at the time, I'd never seen anything like it. It's still special.

Yes it's enhanced. Heidi's breasts and ass has never been that big.

flicking through channels today and what happens to me on, watchiing it again after 8 years really brings back some childhood memories, its incredible how much the film holds up even though it's clear where the cartoon has been intergrated (the thin blue glow around the toons, if that was seen in modern cinema it would be dissected and criticised to the death). Still, bob hoskins works absoloutly brilliant with very little on screen and manages to convince of the interactions with these drawings. Christopher Lloyd as always is fantastic and really portrays a true sense of insanity whilst maintaining the evil, that one scene with the shoe in the 'dip' is still quite intimidating, I find it fascinating that even though it's a cartoon & a shoe AND it's only been on screen for about 30 seconds i generally felt empathy when it got the dip.

Overall a brilliant piece of cinema history, and there should never be remakes/sequels/prequels, leave the story intact and just buy the dvd.

9/10

One of the best 5 movies ever made? Hell yes!

If you dont own the Vista DVD, DO IT! The 3 cartoons on the fullscreen disc are worth it alone.

Rocky and Bullwinkle made me cry. All the jokes were lame, the interaction with the cartoons was terrible and.....

............

2 minutes of silence for Robert deNiro's career please. :(

Did anyone ever get on the Roger rabbit ride at Disneyland? it was the most horrific experience you could ever have. It was dark, scary and you would spin all over the place. Toon town was created because of the Movie. it's a really cool place to visit.

It had one good moment:

Fearless Leader: There has never been a way to actually destroy a cartoon character until now.
Pottsylvanian scientist: What about that movie Roger Rabbit?
Fearless Leader: Shut up. This is totally different.
[pauses]

I actually thought that was lame beyond words. :p

Along with the Indiana Jones ride and the Materhorn, it's my favorite ride in the park.
