Who Framed Roger Rabbit = Pure Genius

One of the first movies I watched as a wee lad--simply awesome. :D

I got a question for you guys--when you saw it as kids, did any of you get crushes for Jessica Rabbit? :o

My friend has Jessica Rabbit tattooed on his calf. It's sexy.

What ever happened to Zemeckis? Such a genius, showed such early potential, and now does nothing but lame schlock.

I think he's done enough to say he was more than potential. BttF (trilogy), Forest Gump, What Lies Beneath and Contact - four different genres, four great movies. Very few directors can handle multiple genres with ease.

Contact and What Lies Beneath are considered great movies?

Forrest Gump did not deserve Best Picture. Great movie, but nowhere near as good as Pulp Fiction or The Shawshank Redemption.

My crush will last for all eternity. She's perfik.

I've been in love with this movie every since I can remember. When I was younger I liked to pretend I was the female lead character in films/shows (Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Rainbow Brite etc.) but I never tried to fill Jessica Rabbit's heels, I knew I wasn't woman enough:(

If it makes you feel any better, no woman is woman enough to fill her heels.

This was a great movie, glad I saw it in the theater back in 88,haven't seen it since then though.

It's like it was a celebration of all the great things both companies accomplished for Animation over the years, with all their competition aside. I loved that.

In reality both studios were being difficult over use of their characters, both sides not wanting the other studio's characters to overshadow theirs. This is why the more iconic characters like Daffy and Donald and Bugs and Micky appear in the same scene together, having the exact amount of screen time. That came about because of studio quarreling.

Hell, the only reason they had permission to do the cross-company stuff in the first place is because Stephen Spielberg's company, Amblin, was the one in charge of production.

What does that mean?

Such a great movie, but poor Betty Boop, reduced to a waitress. :(
