Who is Imperiex?

Yea but somethings were changed during that fight as well buts thats in the TPB part of the book like how some things were changed in the IC hard cover. Thats why I am wondering because each hit was like a SBP punch.
What are you talking about? What changed? I read that trade, and I don't remember anything like this.

Thanks for the info people, close to finishing 'The Greatest Tales Ever Told: volume 2' which has stories from all era's and i enjoyed most of them. Gonna read 'Our Worlds At War' after that.

Finally finished 'Our worlds at war' guys, i thought it was good, and it was great to see Superman fly into the middle of the Sun AND move a planet! Some of the fights were great also and i was sad for Superman at the end.

I will now read Sacrifice before buying some more Supes comics.

^Doesnt Superman nearly beat him to a pulp though? Actually dont answer that, i wanna find out for myself, though i'm betting it has something to do with Kryptonite.

Dont see why so many give 'Our Worlds At War' such a hard time though, i enjoyed it, my only complaint would be i thought Imperiex should have been in it more and more fleshed out. The image of an even more Super Superman was great though, especially when moving a planet through space.

Thats why I say it disproves that Batman could beat Superman

^Sorry, thought you said it PROVES Batman could beat Superman, my mistake.

I was saddened when I realised that this thread is still going, but no one ever goes into detail about "who" Imperiax actually is...:( Is he that uninteresting a villain?

Because it's been all practically been said. He wasn't that much of a villain, he was mostly a plot device to drive a story.

I think another good supes book is " The Nail ". it kind of shows no matter what his circumstances superman is a hero.
I think people forget about it alot but I thought it was a really good read and showed how much the rest of DCU characters need big blue.

I know what you mean, that is my biggest complaint about 'Our Worlds At War' i would have liked to have known more about Imperiex, especially after he killed Doomsday SO easily. Its a shame, Imperiex could have been DC's Galactus.

BUT, i did enjoy the story overall.

I'll look out for that, thanks.

But Darkseid is supposed to be DC's Galactus. :csad:

Back in his glory days he was.

Pre-crisis Darkseid would have made you ***** your pants. Post crisis will just talk your ear off. Although he did beat Batman down pretty good.

The early post crisis Darkseid was still cool. It's only been for the past few years that he's been *****fied so much.

I still have my backissues to keep me warm at night. :csad::up:

Well, maybe in this post Infinate Crisis DCU, Seid will get his testicles back.

Seid is still cool, its just his power levels are at Superman status now.

Darkseid from S:TAS was on point I love when he talks trash to Superman
"Time again I have beaten you, humbled you. What makes you think this time wont be different?"

And the other great line
"Seems like you need another lesson in humility boy"

Seid is still cool, its just his power levels are at Superman status now.

And that's a good deal beneath him. He's not a Superman villain. He's a "shows up and everyone, including the devil himself, simultaniously ****s their pants" villain.
