Which makes him the best detective. You gonna give him a handicap because he's incredibly smart?Pink Ranger said:Will Graham, IMO. He caught Hannibal Lecter, a foe who was of exponentially greater intellect than he was.
Holmes was good, but he always had the advantage of being way smarter than the person he was trying to catch (with just one exception, of course).
Unfortunately, with a name like "Remington Steele," one can't be the best or coolest or most badass at anything. At all.twylight said:Remington Steele![]()
He does know a lot of that stuff though, and he programmed those computers. Furthermore, this is the same as arguing that Holmes' intelligence is an unfair advantage. These are the conditions of the person's detection, in their time and context. Given the way they do their work, who's the best?FadingCB said:Batman probably gets either the 5th or close to it spot for me, but the problem is he doesn't detect as often as he could. A lot is in response to a crime having already have happened, or catching a criminal in the act. Then most clues that are found are solved with scientific instruments, and not always old fashioned deducing like Holmes does. Instead of noticing a torn shred of clothing and knowing that the fabric is made of a specific fiber only found in a certain part of the world, it's off to the batcave to run it thru the computer where it deduces the same thing.
I don't think thats a good argument. Heres an example. Spiderman has defeated several villains stronger than him. But does that make him a better superhero than Superman, a guy who hardly has any villains that can challenge him without kryptonite and magic?Pink Ranger said:Will Graham, IMO. OMG! I remember that show. It really was a sleeper hit.Abaddon said:Shelby Woo
Exactly. That's why half this conversation has been ******ed.War Lord said:What kind of detective goes looking for suspects before a crime has happened?
And he was cool as Bond. But nobody can make a name like "Remington Steele" cool or badass. Not even my boy Pierce. Not even Sean Connery could do it. Maybe Jesus Christ could. But I kind of doubt it.twylight said:
