Flash Thompson is not in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
A false statement.
Flash Thompson is not in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Yeah, Zylka was fine in the role and he wasn't an outright jerk, but we didn't get enough OF him. What little was there, though, I liked. As mentioned, he did show Peter some sympathy after Ben's death. I still like that "Feels better, right?" line he says right after Peter has shoved him against a locker. Flash has been a jerk to Peter for who knows how long, and the moment Peter turns the tables, albeit in a moment of weakness due to dealing with a huge loss, rather than fight back or taunt, Flash sympathizes with Peter.

Revolori's is the only one that feels like they really had an idea for. Manganiello was pretty much a plot device.. though that slow-mo punch is one of my favorite scenes ever. I wanted to see more of Zylka's, since he seemed like his character was going somewhere. He hit a lot of the notes, but it sort of felt like he was just written to hit the notes, if you know what I mean. I'm sort of split, tbh.

Neither is perfect. I prefer SM1's Flash, he's just a bully and that's all he needed to be and the only problem is that he gets very little screen time.
TASM's Flash was terrible! Such horrible writing for such a minor character, the bully aspect of his character is extremely over the top and then he changes for no reason lol that's not development, it's inconsistency.
I like Tony Revolori as an actor a lot but his Flash is a non factor, he was just sorta there. He was actually kinda pathetic.
