Who Is The Hype's Smartest Poster?

he was selling his own brand of electricity as being a safer alternative ofcourse.

it was less about the sensitivities of today and more about the show.

I guess my point here is that his belong to the timeframe where they would ride up in trains and shoot buffalo for sport and leave hundreds wounded or dead on the plains as wasted product.

The people back then were "all from Missouri" and required a pretty big hammer to get their attention.

Peace.

"As if”
Never hear about that expression?
You should know better than me since I never attended an English school
English is not even remotely my second language
But I seem to manage better than most of you.

No man! I’m not having a heart attack!

Most of us have heard the expression, however it's much more effective when there's at least SOME punctuation used.

Anyway...thanks for contributing to the discussion. :cwink:

okay.

If I'd written that,... I'da put "As If" in quotations from the get go.

LOL

You get along "so well" that no one responded and you had to sneer at me for asking a question.

No heat,.... but you are proving my point.

Peace.

yes but your point is beside the point when it comes to the question of attention seeking interlectuals. unless you're trying to say that even a man who "kept to himself" would put on shows and name things after themself in the past. which i doubt you are. and hell even if your two examples are good examples it would still only be two examples.

Don't feed the attention ****e, kids.

danyose is not a big community poster but every debate ive had with her and be it on movies or a social issue has been highly enjoyable and she always brings interesting points.

Squeek is so nice i think people sometimes forget she is a wise lady, i don't know if she is politically active here but she makes a lot of sense when she posts.

I've seen some pretty good posts from Cconn, The Guard, and many others who don't immediately spring to mind.

How many do you personally require?

Honest Question.

In my fathers household,.. One was enough,... usually his singular example / reference on anything was it because he had the law of gross tonnage on his side.

In my household I play "Logicman" by making sure I have at least three for my kids to chew over.

I'm happy to see that they have learned not to accept the first explanation / solution unless it's freighted with past experience or a time constraint.

And even then they are open to adjust their viewpoint upon request when new info comes in.

Peace.

well that depends on the issue. with one such as the intelligence of the successful of which there are thousands you really need statistical analysis of large quantities.

..and there are many, many of them.
You got that right :whatever::o

I think Jack Rabbit is pretty articulate, and Mister J always manages to come off as smart. Actually, Kid Arachnid (whatever his new name is now) has often surprised me with decent grammar despite being 11 years old

meh.

Around and around.

No you don't.

Any new product or invention, or creation that required skull sweat to create AND market is enough.

tsk.

It does seem a bit involved...maybe if it was something really short. Complicated **** has ruined many an interesting idea...that Hype Quiz thing didn't happen because Maynard sent out PM's expecting us to give a detailed powerpoint presentation of our lives thus far and paint a self-portrait or something.

And the majority has. I'm waiting on you.

Did anyone mention Phaser? I LOVE talking to that guy.

Mr. Sparkle, Bella, Raybia, Jag, Danger Mouse...

For me it really comes down to the most open to ideas, really. The ones that can critically analyze and comprehend an idea, but not necessarily have to accept it. That is intelligence to me anyways.

I know I've named a few, but those were simply the ones that popped in my head at reading the thread's title. So, if I forget anyone...forgive me. :(

no that would show that intelligence and success aren't mutally exclusive. not that there is a corrollation between intelligence and success in general. single examples are good for disproving claims of an absense of something. the example shows a lack of absense. for example a claim like there are no jewish comedians can be disproved by the singular example of jerry seinfeld. for other claims many examples can be required.

Posters I've found to be pretty intelligent

Captain Stacy
The Question
TheCorpulentOne
Mistress Gluon
X
Casey
TheIncredibleHulk
Serene
Twy
Erzy
GammaMike

I'm sure I'm missing a few, so I'm sorry if your name is not on my above list.

Well, its true, isn't it? Most of Slim's "original material" are his rants about how all Muslims are evil, freedom hating terrorists.

This is true. Think how this makes me feel. According to Slim's rants I'm evil and didn't even know it. LOL!

Of course he would probably say I could be saved if I accept Jesus which if he knew anything about Islam he would know as a Muslim I do accept Jesus.

Wow.......on the money.

Now if it was thread about another religion (which will remain nameless) the thread would have been taken down the momnet it started getting hard questions...let alone bashing. :whatever:

Interesting how the Christian thread stays up.:hehe:

Oh really?

Explain then why this one is still open? Plenty of Islamic bashing it in from you and your sidekick. lol!

I admire quite a few here (and loathe a couple as well).

Jag is up there. Wilhelm, I like for his irreverence more than anything else. ;) And one guy who I don't think anyone else has mentioned is logansoldcigar. He consistently impresses me with his insight and common sense.

THAT IS THE MOST AWESOME AVY ON THE HYPE!! :wow:

comment:

Intelligence is not measured by how precise you can get with an answer.

Because when it goes TOO far the answer is for a question UNASKED.

I'm out of here for a few hours,.. RL calls.

V.

Wilhelm is the most smartest, i think. Erzengel is smart too. thats all i pay attention to basically, smart wise

actually, I think Raybia is pretty smart too . . . I think he opened this thread just to fish for compliments :D

LOL! Thanks for the compliment!

While I know I'm not stupid I don't consider myself on the upper echelon of the Hype.

I know enough to know that I know nothing.

To be honest watching posters like Jag, wilhelm, Matt, Bill, Maxwell's Demon and many others has made me a better overall poster on the Hype.

One name though that has not been mention is Phaser. He is really really an intelligent poster. One of the best on the Hype.
