I did! i remembered when i was 8 as prior to it's release and when i saw "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3" i remembered the trailer to it and gasping as it was a dream come true especially when i read about a Ninja Turtles movie in the works thanks to Starlog magazine.

I saw it 5 times since opening day in my city's theaters and had a blast, i was obsessed with turtles at the time and got the movie's cards, t-shirt, CD soundtrack which i still own and poster.

I loved how true it was to the comics at the time while having elements from the cartoon.

I only saw the 3rd movie in the theater.

I missed it but caught the sequel in the theatres.

I remember it well, I quoted Mikey's lines all the way home on the bus and was obsessed with the scene where he ducks into his shell to avoid a swing from a foot soldier, and then takes him out with a back first. :D

i saw all three opening day in theaters.

i was the biggest fan when i was a kid, i had EVERY toy! my dad took me to see the first movie on opening day, and i still vividly remember getting to the theater to see a cardboard sign in the box office window and in a black sharpie marker it said the movie was sold out. i was so bummed. but my dad drove real far to another theater and we got in.

that movie is still so great.

I skipped it since I was already an adult at the time and TMNT just wasn't a part of my childhood and I thought it sounded like the dumbest thing I'd ever heard of.

To be honest kedrell, you seem to talk a lot of **** about movies that aren't Marvel movies.

I talk **** about those too(when they deserve it). And when TMNT came out virtually no Marvel film existed. Plus there are plent of non-Marvel movies I love. Jaws isn't a Marvel movie yet it's my #1 all time film.

I didn't see it in theaters, but I watched it a few times in elementary school when teachers got lazy and let us watch movies.

I remember when seeing it in the theater on a sunday after going to church, and I was amazed! The next day at school it's all kids were talking about, especially Raph saying "Damn" throughout the movie.

I had a promotional image from the fist film I took from a newspaper. I was extremely excited for the film but didn't get to see it in theaters. My aunt took me to see TMNT 2 though and I really enjoyed that. I still like the first and second even though part too is more cartoonish.

I saw both movies at the theater. I still remember trying to figure out how they made the turtles look so real throughout the whole movie.

In a thread asking who remembers SEEING the movie in the theater, your post is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on these boards.

I saw the first movie in theaters. My friends and I loved it, my dad took us, he loved it too. The Kodak moment joke was the first time anyone used that joke, we all laughed. We were all blown away by the puppeteering work on the turtles and Master Splinter we were convinced it was done by the Jim Henson Company, which it was. I haven't seen the movie since I first saw it in theaters, and watched it for the second time last week. I noticed that Sam Rockwell is in it. He has two scenes, in his second scene he's the kid that tells Casey Jones that they are a family. I refused to watch the other two films because of the bad looking turtle masks and lame puppeteering.

I still own this, hoping it will be worth a lot some day. :)

Well I remember seeing the posters for the movie in the theater.:p

I remembered reading in Superman comics while waiting there was that poster ad for it saying "March 15 1990" and i was like "Oh man i can't wait".

Who else got the poster, CD soundtrack, cards and comic adaptation as a kid as well? and who else thought April was hot? i did.

1990 was a big year for the turtles and this became the highest grossing spring movie of all time and the highest grossing independent film of all time next to Halloween.

Oh yes i remembered being surprised when Ralph said "Damn" the first time.

I remember seeing and falling asleep because its middle is really really boring and being very disappointed in the not good martial arts going on because of the suits. The ending was awful with Splinter and Shredder. I also remember seeing the sequel and being so mad that they never use their weapons and that ending was also embarassingly bad.

I often get the feeling that TMNT fans forget to realize that in 1990 when this film came out most of the adult response to hearing about this film was similar to what we hear today when Hollywood starts talking about a new movie based on the Candyland board game(to give just one example). "Hollywood is out of ideas" was what I was hearing way back then too. That sentiment is nothing new.

I still remember going with my family to see this. I bugged my father time and time again. I forgot which magazines I had, but it had the poster/page of the turtles peeking out of the sewer cover.

I was only 10 at the time and I practically enjoyed every moment of it. I also remember getting the VHS tape the day it was released too. Worn the tape out watching it frequently on the weekends.

I know I went but was too young to really remember.

I saw 1 and 2 at the theaters with my cousins but we had to wait for the 1st one due to it being sold out and had to come back later the evening

i was 4 or 5 when the first one came out and my parents took me to go see it. i remember seeing it at this one theater that closed down a few years back and is now a gym.

don't remember the details of that day, but my parents tell me that during the movie i would tell them who each turtle was.

I remember it. And it was awesome. TMNT is a genuinely good film. For both kids and adults.

I do! For some reason I remember it vividly...so it must have been a special experience.

I remember it being a dream come true! I was like 5 back then.
