Sequels Who Should Write Spider-Man 4?

Someone who doesnt suck, I.E. Raimi

Christ give me frank miller so he can re-do the series and make is amazing like batman begins

And another thing. Whats with movies have numbers after them. Its tacky, corny, and dumb.

Spiderman-The Amazing Spiderman-The Spectacular Spider.

So much better then Spiderman 1, spiderman 2, spiderman 3.

Batman Begins, Dark Knight, ect. Just take the whole development team from the batman movies and throw them onto the spidy franchise and I guarantee you that everyone will be happy.

I don't trust Frank Miller to write a good screenplay. He actually wrote a really bad draft to Batman: Year One that completely lacked any connection to his own work. And Spider-Man doesn't need to be Frank Miller-ized anyway. It's supposed to be fun. Save the grittiness for Batman.

They need to keep the numbering, which isn't corny. Corny is names with colons and subtitles. Like Spider-Man: Resurrection, or Spider-Man: The Revenge, or Spider-Man 4: The Voyage Home. Just keep the numbering.

However, they should use The Amazing Spider-Man either for the last movie in the series (unless they use the Sinister Six for Spider-Man 6, in which case they need to keep the Six) or if Tobey, Kirsten and Sam are replaced.

Spider-man 2 was officially known as The Amazing Spider-man for a while. But after Spectacular and Astonishing we would quickly run out of adjectives that are associated with Spidey.

Plus after 6 movies, we would have dificulty recalling which was which.

Plus (again), the titles might not translate as well into other languages.

The Amazing Spider-Man
The Spectacular Spider-Man
The Sensational Spider-Man
The Astonishing Spider-Man
Web of Spider-man
Ultimate Spider-Man
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

I could go on with Spidey comic series, but you get the point.

Nope, Spidey's new animated series by Sony/Marvel will be called Spectacular Spider-Man, so that ain't happening. Keep the numbers.

Ok, I still got a million more.

Plus, when you get past the #3, the number sounds worse and worse, but a title is more catchy.

David Koepp, as long as it's NONE of the Raimi's. He needs to stick to just directing.

They're not using the comic book titles for the movies, whether you think they're catchy or not. :o

Maybe not, but they sound better.

Hey, at least the new cartoon is using one of the titles, I guess you're gonna have to make do with that.

You know who should write sm4? ......

......me!

Now that I've got a 5 month holiday, I've got plenty of time to kill. I'm going to write a script that'll knock your socks off and make you want to slap your mother......twice.

I'm tired of these lame-ass writers feeding me their bull *****. Its time to feast on something sweet.

Can't wait to see it. :yay:

Anyone but Koepp.

Sargent cleaned up Koepp's mess and made Spider-Man 1 great.

I think Sargent didn't come on board untl SM2...don't think he did anything for SM1.

^Sargent was uncredited for his script work in SM1.

Even still, I doubt Koepp is going to write SM4 by himself. I can't see why Sargent wouldn't help write it.

Also, I agree with the people saying Raimi shouldn't write the next movie. As much as I like him and SM3, it took Raimi an entire year to write the script. I don't want SM4 to be rushed, but I also don't want to wait a full year just for Raimi to write the damn thing - especially if guys like Koepp and Sargent can do it quicker (and without any drop off in quality).

Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby, Crash, and Casino Royale) and Alvin Sergent. They both know how to blend down to earth people with extrodinary situations.

David Koepp is doing the initial script for Sony.

It's likely there will be other writers and other drafts.

I think I read somewhere that Alvin Sergent said he isn't going to write another Spidey movie.
