A bit late, I know, but who do you consider to have been the best villains in 2015? I know this is a movie section, but if you want, you can include villains from other mediums too, be it villains from TV shows, books, comics, video games etc. If there are several villains that you have in mind, please rank them in order of how good you felt they were.

Alan Taylor.

That man was scum and evil.

The bear in revanant. (Maybe 2016).

To be honest, 2015 didn't have any standout villains. There wasn't someone who just automatically came to mind.

Also, in before Ultron.

:o

Alejandro (Sicario)
Kylo Ren (Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
Immortan Joe (Mad Max: Fury Road)

I wonder was the villain in Spectre, [BLACKOUT]Blofeld[/BLACKOUT], amongst many peoples favourites? Lots of people (myself included) were looking forward to Waltz playing the character, but it seems (to me at least) that he was not as good as people expected him to be, mainly due to being underused. I still enjoyed him in the film, but that is mainly because I like Waltz. I was expecting a lot more.

He could have been a great villain if [blackout]he wasn't Bond's step brother and personally tied to Bond himself.[/blackout] It was some next level jarring writing by the screenwriters. [blackout]"Daddy liked you better than me so I'm going to become a criminal mastermind and go out of my way to f*** with you individually.[/blackout]

I felt that was unnecessary, but I do not think it was the only reason that he did not meet the high expectations that people had. IMO, he should have had more time and I think that he should have been given more meaty lines which we know he is capable of delivering.

Kylo Ren for me.

Fury Road had a number of cool bad guys. Can't remember anyone else.

I know you are a big fan of Arkham Knight. Were any of the villains in that game particularly memorable for you? Personally, I thought Scarecrow was an excellent villain in it.

I think, I'm too familiar with Batman's villains, so Arkham games didn't bring anything exceptional to the table. Not to mention, storytelling isn't the greatest asset of these games.

Don't tell that to the 14 rear olds who think they have the bestest stories ever!!

Ramsay Bolton - Brutal, yet he could easily charm his way through a court of nobles. Also a decent commander, it seems.

Immortan Joe - I like how he's trying to rebuild a civilization even though he treats the wives as breeding stock. Adds a dimension to his character.

I don't consider King Stannis and Melisandre to be villains, but I enjoyed both this season. I add them because some do think they're villains.

^Finally I can see some Game of Thrones appreciation. :)

So forgot about it. Feels like ages since the last time I watched GOT. Can't wait for Season 6.

I felt it was detrimental to the character, but I also agree that he was underdeveloped just like Dominic Greene was. A two-time Academy Award winner that didn't get a chance to flesh out the role. At least with Dominic Greene, the 07/08 Writer's Strike could be blamed.

Bullet Farmer gets an honorable mentioned.

"One angry shot...for Furiosa." to,

"I AM THE SCALES OF JUSTICE! CONDUCTOR OF THE CHOIR OF DEATH! SING BROTHER HECHLER! SING BROTHER KOCH! SING! SING!"

Kylo Ren and Harrison Wells/Professor Zoom are the two that immediately come to mind. No other villain was as enthralling as they were. Each character operates on so many levels it's just fun to see them going to work.

Immortan Joe for movies.

Kylo Ren was cool but very trope heavy and OP

Kylo Ren (Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
Killgrave (Jessica Jones)
Deckard Shaw (Fast & The Furious 7)
Solomon Lane (Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation)
Mount Everest (Everest)
Jason Bateman (The Gift)
