Who works with the stock market on here?

I just started an account on Sharebuilder because I finally have enough money to actually start messing around with this stuff, and may buy some shares of "promising" companies down the line. Haven't really been into it in the past, nor do I have a lot of experience with it either, but you gotta spend to make. Anyone else have any experience in this realm? I used the word realm because that's what attracts us nerds.

I could not be anymore confused when it comes to the stock market. Way too many numbers involved. And all of the green and red colors/arrows pointing up and down easily distract me.
