Who would love to see Howard The Duck join the Avengers?

I just came up with this ideal issue story, it would be set in Cleveland where Howard and his human girlfriend Beverly Switzler lives as he saved the baby daughter of the mayor from a monster creature as he makes headlines in the city. Nick Fury catches the story as he wants Howard to Join the Avengers, so Howard leaves his girlfriend for a while to be apart of the Avengers but could still visit his sweetheart anytime.Now this could be an interesting idea and he could bring comedy relief to the mighty superhero team even when he fights the Skrulls alonside them.

I think Nick Fury runs the Secret Warriors, not any of the 10,000 Avengers teams.

There are three Avengers teams; Norman Osborn's "Dark Avengers" run by psychopaths dressed as heroes, the unregistered New Avengers that are sort of always on the run from stuff, and Dan Slott's Mighty Avengers. If Howard the Duck were to show up in any of them, he would fit in better with the Mighty team, especially with Slott writing.

That said, I'm not really eager to see that. I've never cared for Howard; granted, I've also never really read much of the Gerber stories.

I wanna see "classic" Howard... you know, the one that looks more like Donald... not the one that Ty Templeton drew for us last year...

the Avengers are too government boys for Howard. The FF has too much nepotism and the X-men well the X-men have too many damn books and too many members. He needs to get the band back together and" go on a mission from god" with The Defenders like before
