Which doesn't bug me. I don't think Cap needs to be an extremely tall guy in the movie. He needs to have a commanding presence and be buff. Doesn't need to tower over people.

Jane isn't exactly a widely recognizeable star. He's popular with fanboys and in the comic/sci-fi community but that's about it. He hasn't risen to the A-List yet. I recognized Christian Bale and Eric Bana and had no problem with them. I recognized Michael Keaton in Batman, and Hugh Jackman in X-Men. I also recognize Ed Norton and Robert Downey Jr too.

Jane? His a pretty boy. The girls like him. I think he may be more recognizable than you think. But you're right, certainly not A-list. And while Bale, Keaton, Bana and Jackman (You're on your own here, I never heard of this guy before X-Men) were names, it's different and I am not sure why. Superman and Captain America are the only two (at least that I can think of off the top of my head) that need to be unknowns. Maybe it's their iconic status (but then again, Batman is an icon too) I don't know. Maybe some characters can be easily parodied? Maybe it's the uniform or the boyscout qualities that both Cap and Superman have that make them an easy joke? So instead of going, "Hey the guy from Deep Blue Sea is playing Captain America" we should be going "Holy *****! That's Captain America!"

I don't know, I can't really put my finger on why, but I feel Cap has to be totally unknown.

Hadn't thought of that, but he wouldn't be a bad choice for a young Erik. I've always thought Cole would be an awesome Moon Knight.

I hope they can find an unknown that the kind of screen presence as Jane. He's the closest thing to Harrison Ford since...Harrison Ford.

Well, if McKidd gets Thor, than do you want Cap to tower over Thor? I think Damon being Cap is looking VERY realistic right now (assuming McKidd lands Thor of course).

I just watched Bourne Ultimatum today, and he reminded me so much of Steve Epting's Steve Rogers. So yeah, I'd be pretty pissed if he does not become Steve Rogers.

captain america is a very build man(240 lbs) is very big

go to a gym and look for 240lbs guy and you would see a captain america physique

steve is strong in human level but not superhuman he dont have superpowers . to be strong like him you have to be well muscle

in real life strong man are over 200 pounds depend of is height and i say real strong

if captain america can lift 800lbs is body have to be adapted for this kind of strengt ,he have to be big

find a very big actor or hollywood have to made a custom actor for the role
