Ok, I'm stealing this from another message board. If you could "erase" someone from the History Books of American Cinema, who would be and why?

I'm gonna have to say:

Hallie Barry
Joel Schumacher
Tom Cruise
Michael Moore
M. Night "I'll Use The Same Formula Over and Over Again Because It Works" Shyamalan
George Lucas
Rosie O'Donnell
Paris Hiltion
Uwe Boll

The only valid choices are Uwe Boll and Paris Hilton. The rest either are talented or have been talented at some point.

I guess in some weird way Uwe Boll has contributed how NOT to direct a movie. So that leaves Paris Hilton. Off with her head.

Well, Tom Cruise has always been a bit wacko.

M. Night's only 2 good films are Unbreakable and Sixth Sense{to an extent.}

I wouldn't erase anyone. Everyone has served a purpose on WHAT or WHAT NOT to do.

They all have contributed something positive in Cinema. Except Uwe Bol.
But I'm sure they all have something that wish they could remove from the resume.

lindsay lohan
Keanu Reeves
ben afleck
jennifer garner
paul walker
any rapper that thought we would want to see them in a movie

Without Tom we'd never have Top Gun. It's not the best movie, but it's my favorite. Besides, Tom's a really great guy. He may be a little crazy, but he's a great actor and was really very nice to me when I met him, and I'll defend him every chance I get.

Tom Cruise seems like an amazing guy but seriously misguided.

anyone who follows something so blindly probably has problems with self esteem and judgement. he has always seemed a little intense, but now with his scientology obsession he has just gone to far IMO

Post-SNL Rob Schneider. Seriously, The Animal? Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo?

If I only have one Bryan Singer, just cause I like X-men better than Daredevil or Ghost Rider

but both B.S. (ironic initials cause those are the kinds of comic book movies he makes) and MSJ need to go back in time and find them new careers

WTF with you? They all are the part of cinema's history.

For example Uwe Boll and Schumacher, who are known as the worst Hollywood filmmakers after Ed Wood.

Or George Lucas, he is actually very good filmmaker, if we don't count his prequels (just watch SW 70s-80s trilogy and American Graffiti).

And btw, Cruise is an excellent actor, his only problem is today private life.

And what the hell Hiltonis doing in your list? She isn't even an actress!

P.S. to L0ngsh0t, though Singer is not the best filmmaker for a comic book adaptation, he is still a very good movie director. Check out The Usual Suspects and X2, which actually kicked ass.

Completely agree. He really must be an idiot.

Hallie Barry She's a pretty good actress and has won an oscar for a reason
Joel Schumacher He's done some pretty good films besides Batman
Tom Cruise Another good actor. Just watch Top Gun
Michael Moore Watch some of his documentaries and get back to me
M. Night Shyamalan So because he uses the same formula he should erased from cinema history. There are much worse directors; e.g. Pitof
George Lucas One of the stupidest choices on here. You make not like the PT, but his 70s and 80s films were great
Rosie O'Donnell
Paris Hiltion
Uwe Boll

I don't have a comment on the last 3 because I do think they are terrible. But the others are or have been good. And again, you said in your main post give reason why yet you have NO reason. This list is absurd, and a joke.

Ashton Kutcher
Vin Diesel
Most if not all rappers turned actors

wow... with the exception of uwe boll, all of these are terrible, pointless choices.

Ha Ha you spelt CINEMA wrong. I dont know what CIMENA history is.

Cruise I CAN do without.

But taking away Lucas would be like taking away God for an entire generation of people.

They'd rise and one and slay you :o
