Who would you wipe from the cimena history books?

The media did that. Not her.

Yet she never seemed too terribly concerned with proving them wrong. Maybe she tried to denounce them once or twice, but I've yet to see her HONESTLY protest against the label she's been given. Of course it's far too late to get rid of it, so there's not much she can do on that front.

So because she doesn't do many significant things that'll change the world, that makes her a mean person?

No, it means she doesn't deserve her social status.

Her and a legion of others, though...

"With great power (or fame) comes great responsiblity."

Personalities like DiCaprio and Bono get it, and they don't take their fame for granted. That's all Ms. Hilton has done, and that landed her in jail for all the good it did.

Her initial whining over a merely three week sentence and multiple attempts to get an appeal don't help her case much either :o

Do I even need to say why?

Im not a fan of Paris Hilton, but im sick of this ****! Just because you have fame and/or fortune does not, repeat, does not mean you have to use it to make the world a better place. The people who say that are people who need to get lives of their own and stop being jealous. That's a fact of human nature, always **** on and judge people you hate or are jealous of, those last two usually go hand in hand. People all of walks of life have the right to do whatever they damn well want with their life since....news flash.....it is their life and no one elses.

I'm jealous of Paris, but only because I see her driving around in that Mercedes SLR McLaren that she doesn't deserve.

That's naive.

I never said that the famous HAD to. But should they? Absolutely.

They're the ones that can influence, and like it or not there are people in the world that will look up to them.

Do we really want them looking up to Paris?

I have a life of my own. A life and responsibilities. And as someone who's more in the public eye, Paris has more responsibilities than me...and yet she doesn't seem to grasp that.

As for jealously, that's not funny at all.

Just because she's wealthier and has more financial freedom? Oh yeah, I'm real jealous of someone who's the laughing stock of nearly an entire generation. She just got out of jail for a DUI, which was hilariously followed by driving with a suspended license, and she's the poster child for "young hollywood," which when coupled with unecessary sequels and remakes represents the downfall of the industry.

Hilton's a prime example that you no longer have to have talent to be an actress. An actress and a celebrity are two things that couldn't be more different.

People all of walks of life have the right to do whatever they damn well want with their life since....news flash.....it is their life and no one elses.

It is their life...a life that they knew coming into celebrity would be put on display for everyone to see. And they think they're NOT going to be judged?

But you're right. I could care less about the exploits of a superficial heiress, and had she not been mentioned in this thread, I wouldn't have bothered.

And I'm not going to anymore... :o

I would wipe out DONNIE DARKO

That is basically saying they have to. C'mon, "should they, absolutely". Hell no! If I were rich and just wanted to go about my life having fun I should be able to and for anyone to judge me would be bull**** on their part. Mainly because their not God(for the believers out there), my dad, or well.....me!

They're the ones that can influence, and like it or not there are people in the world that will look up to them.

That has always been a point I hated, just because your in the spotlight does not mean you should have to alter your lifestyle for the damn kiddies. It's the parents responsibility to teach them right or wrong.

Do we really want them looking up to Paris?

Of course not, she isn't even close to being a role model. My point is she doesn't have to be. Being famous, no matter how much the papperazi(sp?) wants us to think it is does not instantly mean you have to alter your life because people might follow suit with your actions.

I have a life of my own. A life and responsibilities. And as someone who's more in the public eye, Paris has more responsibilities than me...and yet she doesn't seem to grasp that.

I wasn't attacking directly at you with the whole no life thing. It's just a lot of people spend too much time obsessing over others lives instead of their own. Once again, just because she's in the public eye doesn't mean she has to change her lifestyle like a slave for the masses. Being famous does not mean you have more responsibilities in any way than your average person.

As for jealously, that's not funny at all.

I'm not directly saying you are jealous, if that's what you thought by your statement about jealousy being not funny at all. I meant was thats a fact of human nature. People love to judge others to make themselves feel better all the time. A lot of the time it's towards people who they are jealous of, usually famous people because they acheived in life as opposed to the person who is judging them.

Like above, didn't mean you are directly jealous of her. In general it's people who are jealous of people who have acheived in life. She is an exception since I agree, you would have to be dumb or shallow to be jealous of her after all her crap.

Hilton's a prime example that you no longer have to have talent to be an actress. An actress and a celebrity are two things that couldn't be more different.

She's not an actress, she may have been in a film or two. That doesn't make her an actress in my book. She is simply a socialite, someone who is famous because their rich, kinda like Donald Trump, or even Hugh Hefner(sp?).

It is their life...a life that they knew coming into celebrity would be put on display for everyone to see. And they think they're NOT going to be judged?

That's my problem with our ****ty ass society as a whole. Just about everyone as I stated above now days thinks their **** don't stink. They love to judge anyone to make themselves feel better and superior. I'm sure they realize that their life is going to be put on display, that's just a sad fact with what I mentioned earlier about some people who have no lives because they just focus on others with gossip and bull****.

But you're right. I could care less about the exploits of a superficial heiress, and had she not been mentioned in this thread, I wouldn't have bothered.

I could care less about her as well just wanted to get my point across about the whole judging thing and society.

Damn, forgot to put my remarks in bold. :(

Yeah, I understand.

Sorry about getting all whatever, man.

No more arguing on these boards for me. Everyone here is too cool to argue with.

I wouldn't erase anybody! To the person who said erase George Lucas: Can you imagine what special effects in films would be like if there was never Star Wars? Shame on you! :down

Emma Watson should be wiped out of the cinema history books.

Halle Berry? Seriously her worst movie to date was Catwoman but she's done some really good films too( Monster's Ball, Losing Isaiah).

I totally disagree with Lucas being on that list, he created Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

I just realised "cinema" is spelt wrong in the title of this thread, haha.

lindsay lohan
Keanu Reeves
ben afleck
jennifer garner
paul walker
any rapper that thought we would want to see them in a movie

:cmad: why Jennifer Garner, I don't want to lose Sidney Bristow.

I wouldn't say most. Will Smith, Queen Latifah, Mos Def, and even LL Cool J (Todd Smith) have done good jobs.

Seeing Mos Def in 16 blocks and in Hitchhikers guide, I'll give him as well as Will Smith the exceptions. They have proven themselves in my eyes. Now LL Cool J and Queen Latifah is laughable. When have they ever shown range of emotions.......um most likely never. Seriously, Latifah is always for the big black woman comedy route 99% of the time, while LL Cool J is basically himself a walking stereotype of blacks.
