This topic may have apeared here several times throughout the last few weeks but I havn't been on much. I've only sadly seen the movie last night because of family issues durring opening week (Grandfather took heart attack). So last night I went and we seen allthe way up untill you see magneto playing chess and right befor it shows anything the screen goes black. The lightbulb for the projector ran out or something. We got our money back and such but im curious as to how the after credits scene goes? I hear its with Xavier possesing a body?

Is it possible that the body is Apocalypse's? His powers allow him to be pretty much immortal and he has been alive for thousands of years. Could it be posible that it's his "human body".

Also is it possible that it is Onslaught? I forget how the Onslaught story goes but it has something to do with Xavier right?

I think it's either a clon of Xavier's original body or his twin brother.

It just occured to me Xavier may now be cured. Since being a mutant comes from one's DNA if the body he jumped to doesn't have mutant DNA he will not longer be a mutant, right? Unless it is a clone or a body with mental power mutant DNA. I assume that this was all set up in advance as a back up plan. Xavier never gave judgment if taking the body would be morally correct. He only posed the question to his students. Obviously Moira is involved, and even though she seems suprised when he wake's up it must have been planned well in advance. I'm leaning toward clone, although I don't really like the idea. I would also assume that he can now walk.

Why do you think it was planned in advance? I don't think the Professor planned to die. I think he simply transferred his mind into that body at the last minute, right before his body was destroyed, the body Moira was taking care of... possibly for all kinds of testing and such. It's also possible that Prof. X still possesses his powers because they all lie in his mind... which now inhabits that body. What you said is also possible, however. Nice thinking. ;)

It is a clone or twin. How do I know? Patrick Stewart said so. That is him in a beard.

Mutancy is in the DNA, not the brain. He shouldn't have any more powers unless it IS his twin brother. In that case the DNA would be identical and he could jumpstart the mutancy that is probably latent in his twin.

I didn't mean he planned to die while facing Jean, rather the "mindless" body was just a back up plan in case he died for any reason. It's quite a coenseidense (sp?) that he was discussing the very thing he did earlier in the film and the fact that Miora was involved.

xavier twin brother or just an average guy

That would also mean he'd ditch the wheelchair. Which would be something rather weird to see. I mean I've seen him walking in the comics on several occasions but it would seem rather early of them to throw that into the mix.

I think the whole idea is stupid as hell. Why kill him off (in a spectacularly not dramatic scene) if he's just going to come back to life?

Wouldn't that depend on the definition of "Death". His consciousness survived although his body didn't. Well I guess that could be a bit of a stretch but noone said Xmen was based on real life.

Damn I wish I saw what happened I left as soon as the movie went off.

Actually he did not transfer his mind, to be a mutaint you have to have the DNA Prof.X transfered his "consciousnes" into a blank mind no. DNA was transfered, nothing physical was done.. of course they dont want people to think about this. So of course he would no longer have his powers.

I hope since Juggernaut isnt his brother in the film universe, this brainless guy could be his twin, which could be a cool reason he's phsycic you know he has the brains of 2! And I would love to see Patrick Stewart continue to be in the movies, he Ian McKellen, and Hugh Jackman are the only actors I don't think they could switch out.

Has to be his twin brother... hopefully we will get another movie to find out.

Hmm, forgive me if I'm totally off track here but remember when the Prof. was talking about Jean's powers lying in the subconscious part of her mind? Isn't it likely that his powers a seeded in the concsious part of his mind?

If it's his twin, the DNA is the same.
