I'm so happy I live 10 minutes away from the ONLY IMAX Theatre in the Netherlands @ Amsterdam Arena. So YES I will go! Can't waitttt!!! :woot:
Hi there. I checked with Pathe last week and they said were NOT showing Transformers!:cmad: Then i checked with the film distributors UIP and they said that it's not been decided if they're going to release the IMAX version there. I found the conflicting messages a little strange and since the release is only a few weeks away even moreso.

I'll be really angry if they decided not to release it here.:(

i hope they release it here in the philippines.

I remember when i was in in line for spiderman 3 in the imax, i was so excited to see the spiderman3 action in full imax glory, instead i got spiderman3 disappointed in full imax glory.

Are there new scenes in the IMAX version. I haven't been following but if there are I am definately going to go. Also How much is Transformers expected to make on the IMAX screenings?

Not going to waste more money to watch two extra minutes :whatever:

Those motherfu....:cmad:
I'm still a bit bummed that we are going to get ONLY 2 frikkin minutes but this really pissed me off. I checked the IMAX website and it seems that only North American residents will be able to see the movie in IMAX.

This so sucks! It's not playing at the IMAX in my city! They've been playing Harry Potter V forever, but they're not going to do Transformers. How stupid is that? I don't want to have to drive to Dublin or San Franscisco for this. Why does the IMAX have to be attached to a museum? gggrrrrrr:cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad:

...Found Out today, I can't. Not playing it in my city. :down

The last rumor I heard was it was 20 minutes, not 2. However, I don't think anyone knows exactly how much extra footage we're getting yet.

Transformers IMAX release to include additional footage

Nelson here...

I contacted Michael to verify if the IMAX release of Transformers will include additional footage not seen in the first theatrical release, and he has confirmed that there will be about 2 extra minutes.

Nope, I hadn't. Not that it really matters unless I want to drive up to Dublin (45 minutes) or San Francisco (1 hour), I'm not going to see this at an IMAX theater.:csad:

September 21st
Defianlty....
San Francisco Metreon I-Max Theatre....

Hopefully, though the only IMAX remotely close to me to having it is an hour and a half away. :(

I plan on it, if I can ever confirm that the theater here will actually be showing it. We have three, so you'd figure one of them would...

Whichever IMAX theatres are still showing Harry Potter will most likely replace it with Transformers.

Doubt that. My local IMAX is playing HP, but their schedual doesn't show anything about Transformers and the IMAX site says that the closest IMAX that will be playing it is a 45 minute drive away.

More IMAX Minutes Than Meets the Eye?

We hate to go against what Michael Bay said about the IMAX release of Transformers, after all he IS the director, but from what we are hearing the September 21 re-release has been timed at 149 minutes. The original theatrical release was 144 minutes.

Bay previously said here that the large format version would have 2 minutes of extra footage. Could it be 5 minutes now?

Either way, the fans win, as you'll get to see the robots even bigger along with more footage than before!

2-5 minutes is not much of a difference

Pffft...You have no idea how much dialogue and exposition can be inserted into 2-5 minutes.

2 minutes or 20 minutes extra doesn't matter to me. I just wanna see OP et al LIFE SIZE!
