I'm looking forward to Green Lantern more than any Marvel movie. I still can't wait to see Thor, Cap and Avengers but I've been waiting for a GL movie since I was 10. I hope Flash is next.

Anyway, I dont see the productivity over complaining about Comic Con, and in fact, all this just seems like another reason to whine or gloat about something. The only good point I've seen is that Geoff Johns teased certain things, and then failed to deliver. Even still, we have several cons throughout this year where announcements can be made. You dont even need a con to create hype.

As much as I liked to believe it, I'm not sure. They hired the right guy for the job in John's but honestly, I think he can only do so much. The problem isn't DCE, I think it's the execs behind them. But this is all moot if GL does well because it will set the stage for a Flash movie. The problem lies if it bombs, then it's back to Bats and Supes again.

Which would be the logical decision on WB's part if that happens, but I'm sure it won't. Even if it does, WB will probably wait a few more years and give a non-Batman/Superman character a shot again.

I have no doubt at all that GL will do well. Out of GL, Cap and Thor I predict that GL or Thor will be the biggest. Either way they'll both be pretty close, I think.

One of the many points people are missing is that WB wants to make money. Thats why DCE was created in the first place, so that WB can create new franchises, but do it in a way that resembles the comics.

The thing I'm worried about with GL is the graphics and that their is so many of them it might be confusing to the public. A lot of people seem to think that John Stewart is GL but still....I think this is the order for next year: 1) Thor 2) GL 3) Cap. I can see them all making over $200M but I think Cap will struggle to reach that, if it does reach it.

But seriously, I see Potter doing well but TF3 I can honestly see bombing. Pirates I have no clue what that will do but it has Johny Depp in it..............I'm a straight guy and I'd go to see his movies any day of the week.

its true that WB/DC is getting its act together only recently, so comparing it to Marvel's accomplishments at this point make DC look like "the Slow One", but as a fan who's been giving suggestions to WB/DC for so many years and Marvel accomplishing nearly every one of those suggestions i cant help feel disappointed over WB/DC's performance, even if in truth they have made great progress to where they were before.

thats the ever present danger in all this new direction DC is taking. truthfully i dont think its DCE but WB itself, its the parent company and the budget still comes from them, if anything they've been complacent and resistant in getting the DC franchises working because they have had other franchises to fill their coffers with (LOTR, HP). with those wells drying up very quickly they're turning to their other properties to make money from-- they dont have any choice. and Marvel showing them up on nearly every turn has got to at least made them grumble about it professionally if not financially.
