The Regime fell because of several reasons.
1. The spread of new democratic ideals among the people after the invention of the printing machine. This was the Age of Enlightment after all.
2. The fact that the poorer states of the nation were not properly represented in the Parliament pissed off a bunch of people including the new middle class.

That's the jist of it anyway. Sorry if this comes in to late. i always loved history.
