why I wouldn't trust police.

thats crazy! you'd think it would be seen as entrapment or something or at least if i was a defense auth. i would try to push that.

There are good and bad people of every gender, race and occupation. Just because there are bad cops doesn't mean there are not any good cops.

well our country is like this. the constitution means nothing to police officers. it's the begining of a police state.

get this for example. I had to call the police on my roommate for breaking into my room (i live in a quad which consists of 3 rooms, 1 bed room on the left, 1 on the right, and in between them is a common room. this roomate lived in the opposite room) and put a bios-password on my computer (he admitted to it) after i asked him to fix it he refused, so i had to call the cops on him (the RD said what he did was against the law and advised me to). when the cop came we each talked to him outside in the hallway. after he was done talking to my roomate him and my roomate walking into the common room and into MY room (without a warrent, my permision, and without me in the room). I yelled at my roomate for letting him in, and at the cop because what he did was against the law.

When i went to talk to the Dean of Student Affairs about what the officer did, she said "Well did you have anything to hide or illegal?"

She basically implied if you ask the officer to go through the right presedures or if you flex your rights you're somehow a criminal.

That's the funny thing about being a cop, if one ****s up, the whole nation hears about it and it automatically becomes indicative of the entire force. However a cop does a good thing or saves a life and it might get a small mention in the local newspaper.

**** tha police!

You're right. You shouldn't trust the police.

So don't call them ever again.

Good deeds in general are under reported. But this posing as a protester in order to arrest people is tactics that they are tought, and it goes all the way to the top of who's in charge. Most good police officers often get weeded out by the bad ones sadly.:csad:

You're basing that on...what, exactly?

I don't care how many times you saw Batman Begins, it doesn't make you some type of authority on this stuff. Sorry.

Talk to ex-cops and or just cops in general. They're not shy to talk about what they've done or what they've seen other cops done. The cops that possed as protesters and attacked fellow police officers didn't deny what they did.

Sorry that you wasted your movie reference.

I did a 30 min. documentary for my Documentary class. I interviewed 3 city cops I didn't know, and 2 cops which are family friends (one of which left the force after 2 years). Most seen their fair share of corruption, seen cops walk over the constitution.

if you talk to a town cop you won't get anything juicy out of them, they're mostly harmless, the worst you'll see in a small town is a cop that's a total dick. If you want to see ****ed up cops go to Chicago.

So...you extrapolated from this sample of cops in a single city that this is on some huge scale?

Nice.

I'm sorry I didnt have the time to ask half of the city's cops. :whatever:

But if you want to go ahead and try to prove me wrong go right ahead.:word:

The police are underpaid, overworked, and have a **** horrible job. They run the risk of being shot, stabbed, or beaten to death on a regular basis (no matter where you live) and in my hometown they start out at $9.00 an hour.

For that kind of money I'm glad they don't just shoot the **** out of everything they see. Some cops practice bad justice and poor decision making abilities. Those cops are bad guys just like there are other bad guys and they deserve to be held accountable.

But the next time I get mugged, robbed, or nearly killed I'm calling the cops. It's all "**** the po-lice" until **** starts to get real and things start getting serious. When the protest turns into all out violence you'll be begging for the police to pepper spray everyone just as long as it keeps you and yours safe.

My best friend is a cop. He makes scalpers give me face value for tickets.

You called the cops on your roommate for putting a password on your computer?!?! When I went to college that was a regular prank. The cop was probably f'ing with you for overreacting and wasting his time.

Moral of the story, all cops are bad because of above article and small samplings that go against everything you learn in sociology 101.

To some, I'd imagine, no it doesn't. To some citizens the constitution means nothing -- does that mean it's the beginning of a lawless, anarchy.
