Cops Aren't Required to Protect?

You do realize not all Judges for the law to the tee, most legislate from the bench, which is why there is growing feeling the the courts are bias.

I can't answer your question, you would have to address that to the court whos involved. All I'm saying is that Police Dept. refuse to honor the order because they feel that the Constitution does not allow such a provision that allows them to protect illegal aliens.

I'm not arguing the issue.... it is what it is.

It's supposed to be, but these a-holes found a loophole in the Colorado state law backlog that let them get away with not doing anything to help this woman. The scary thing is that this now sets precedent for future actions (or inactions) by police departments in that state. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one get appealed up to the U.S. Supreme Court, though. This is a terrible precedent to have on the books and I can't imagine certain groups letting it stand unchallenged.

Follow the links, this decision is by the U.S. Supreme Court. It is not a recent decision either. It is merely agreeing with other decisions that go back 161 years.

Ahhh, I was thinking it was a Colorado State Supreme Court decision, rather than a Federal one. I'm aware that the case was founded on previous statutes and rulings, most of which were severely dated.
