Why is Hype so slow?

Ugh. Well, at least this'll cut down my number of subscribed threads, so I'll stop skipping over the threads I don't care about.





Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go do a marathon of subscriptions in the comics section of the X-Men forums.

So basically every other skin but the default one is messed up? I use the Dynamite one and all I see are blue question marks where the quote buttons and what not used to be.

the board is wayyyy to slow at all times of the day or night. it's 330am and it still takes over a minute to load pages. not to mention the board was down about a 1/2 hour ago. ive been a member since 2007 and this has always been an issue and it's very annoying despite me loving the site. you guys really need to invest in new servers with larger capacity.

well I had that with the Dynamite skin, but I flipped to the regular SHH skin and the vigilante skin and have no issues

Well Comic Chick, Im going to need a fixed version of your 'Vote Busty' skin, Im finding it hard to navigate w/out the green and pink.

Yeah well if it helps keep Hype fast I can deal with the skin being generic.

I do wish they would bring back the Hype skin though, I liked and used the blue and red skin.

Where did the Hype Classic theme go? I'm really liking Vigilante so it's cool for now, but I'd like the option to change back just in case. I am in no way going to default. Bleh.

If you used thread subscriptions or email notification for private messages you'll have to re-do that. We had to clear all that out of the database.

also does anyone know how to turn off certain words being hightlighting in green with a magnifying glass beside it that expands to a big search box when you move your cursor over it? its annoying as heck.

Those are related to ads, so get an adblocker for that. Don't know what browser you use, but I have FF and have never seen those in quite a while.

You can count me in on the same thing. Well, not the rage part, I mean. I'm actually a very reserved person (when I remember to take my medication ), but the rest of it, like the missing subscriptions and the general slowness and all that, yeah, I got the same issues.

thnaks for the info. I use IE8. I only seem to have this problem with SSH it doesn't happen anywhere else.

I like the Vigilante theme but it kinda hurt my eyes.

If you used thread subscriptions or email notification for private messages you'll have to re-do that. We had to clear all that out of the database.

Just something that happen when the hype was move to the other servers, never use them
