So is this the only news from yesterdays conference ? Now that the release date & price is confirmed I wonder when Pre Orders will start here in the U.S.

I think this was long ago established. I think I even remember a rumor that you could hook it up to any external usb harddrive. So just get a cheapy 80gigger for $75 and it's a wrap.Future Prez said:Anyone know if the Wii will only save to Flash? I'm still hoping for hard drive support.
Future Prez said:As disappointed as I am with the price for the console, that's not what's got me ticked off. The Wii is supposed to be a multi-player console with the average consumer in mind. If that is true, how can Nintendo be selling only one Wiimote with the system, then charge $60 total for a Wiimote and Nunchuck?!
jaydawg said:I cant believe the Wii is only $50 cheaper than the basic 360. Nintendo.... ****in up.
Kipobe said:Nevermind the fact that it has everything you'll need to start playing that day out of the box. If it has hard wire connectivitiy cables and component cables included, it's still cheaper than the Gamecube was.
GC released with a cheaper controller... no games... ($50 apiece) no component cables ($35+)... no connectivity ($??)
I see this as still great pricing. Not that cost would really be a big issue to me, but all the same it's nice to see that they remain the most competitive as far as pricing.
VC games could stand to be a little cheaper though... I would've thought they should all be under $7, but whatever. I'll still have my entire Zelda library/entire Mario library/entire Metroid library, and many others on one freaking machine. That can't be topped.
More disappointing is the fact that only the white console will be released on launch. Who the hell in the US has a white television anymore unless it's like a 13" kitchen TV![]()

I mean for ****'s sake, it's $250 for the Wii, Wii Sports, the controller and hook-ups, and a stand! Jesus, it's the same price as a PSP and people don't complain very much about that!
But I can understand the dissapointment in only white. But, I have a white DSL, and was buying the white Wii anyways to match!
I can't wait.
Also, isn't Nov. 19 the same day as the PS3 launch, or is that the 17th?
War Party said:PS3 is the 17th. The Wii is launching on a Sunday, so I don't have to cut my classes now.And I agree with you, no one should be complaining.
Panophobia said:Sweet, it's a Sunday! Awesome!
Also, I'm glad it's coming out later! I'll have enough money now!
