I personally can only use one hand because of CP so I held off on buying a Wii til it was absolutely necessary. Well, my wife wants a Wii so we are defiantly getting one in the next few months.

Is there a list of games that only needs the Wii remote or a Gamecube controller out there anywhere? This would be mighty helpful in knowing what games I can personally play.

So far I know of:
Wii Sports, <i like the bowling and golf, though I hear the baseball needs the Nunchuck>
Mario Kart
Smash Bro.
Punch Out

House of the Dead: Overkill. Just turn off the movie and voice over sound if you don't like that much gratuitous cursing or kids are around, otherwise, a pretty satisfying zombie shoot-em-up.

The remote-only control options for Punch Out and Smash Bros. have you use the remote like an NES controller, so you have to use both hands.

The only other ones I can think of right now that only requires one hand are Wario Ware and other rail shooters like Overkill.

I play Punch Out fine with one hand. I use my pinky for the directional controls and my thumb, index for the 1 and 2 + -.

I rest the controler on my lap. Like I used to play NES games ^_^

I've not played it but I think you could play New Super Mario Bros Wii. Maybe Wario Land Shake It, too. Both requiring shaking though, especially Wario Land.

I could probably come up with very good list, but I have a few questions:

1) Can you play the Wii Remote on it's side like an NES controller?

2) Can you tilt or shake the Wii Remote at all?

3) Can you use the Wii Remote in its upright position and point across your television screen?

4) Do you have genre preferences?

I've been playing New Super Mario Wii lately. I love that game. Found itreallyeasy to adapt to playing with one hand.
