I read that Batman Arkham Asylum will be coming to the WiiU.

Does anyone know if the game will be compatible with the Wii?

I like my Wii and don't plan on getting the system but do intend to get the games.

Considering Wii is less powerful... no, you can't play WiiU games on it.

The Wii U is a completely different system than the Wii. If you want to get Batman: Arkham City, you have to buy a Wii U.

Can you play PS2 games on a PS1?

Anyone know the graphics capability of this system? Will games look better than PS3/360 or did they sacrifice that again for innovation...which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Nothing official yet. Just rumors and speculation right now.

It will be close to the 360 and PS3. Probably equal or slightly better.

The games shown at E3 for the Wii U were actually the PS3/360 versions. It will at the least be equal to Sony and Microsoft's consoles. But third party games will always look the same on all consoles. The only games that will show off the true graphical capabilities of the Wii U will be Nintendo's games (the Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Metroid in particular). Same way that the best looking games on the PS3 are the ones developed by Naughty Dog, Media Molecule, SCE Santa Monica Studio, Team ICO, Polyphony Digital, and Guerrilla Games. Just wait until we see games from Retro Studios, Nintendo EAD, and Monolith Soft for the Wii U.

GameCube games via WiiWare on Wii U?

Nintendo appears to have confirmed that ageing GameCube games will be made available for download on the Wii U.
Gamers will get the last-gen games via the company's existing WiiWare service, Nintendo of America exec Amber McCollom told NintendoGal.
"GameCube discs will not be compatible with Wii U, but a number of the games that were playable on GameCube can be downloaded from WiiWare," McCollom said.
To date, Nintendo has used the term WiiWare to denote original downloadable games on Wii, while retro games are re-released under the Virtual Console label. Did McCollom misspeak? Or will these GameCube games come with Wii U related extras?
And if GameCube titles are to be made available, does this mean Nintendo are considering a beefier Wii U memory capacity?
Wii owners had to make do with just 512MB of internal memory, although this was expandable via SD cards. It would take double that to cope with just one of the GameCube's 1.4GB mini DVDs that Nintendo fed players with.
With N64, SNES and NES games already available for the Wii, adding GameCube titles would be a logical next step. Indeed, Nintendo has just launched a Virtual Console for the 3DS, which includes Game Boy and Game Boy Color classics.
Eurogamer has contacted Nintendo for confirmation, we'll update when we hear a response.

I played the WiiU at E3 and I can say it's pretty damn cool. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of 1st party games, or a must have launch game. The controller is quite light, the screen is pretty good for its resolution (think the Wii) and have a touchscreen to dig thru your menus is quite handy. The only gripe about the screen I could find is the lack of dual touch, like when you "pinch" an iphone screen to zoom in or out, but I think it's a patent issue with Apple. I'll be getting it for Nintendo games and Wii 720p backwards compatibility. Def not a PS4 or Xbox 720 replacement tho.

The Move tech was created way before the Wii tech was, but Nin did successfully put it out to the public first.
Still want to hear more on the Wii U and if they fixed the multi controller issue.

That's fine. Nintendo patented games before Sony did.

Nyyyaaah!

Nintendo has said that it is technically possible for the Wii U to support multiple Wii U controllers. The question is will Nintendo sell the controllers separately.

Due to the expensive cost of the controllers though, developers are working on ways to implement multiplayer in different ways though.

...That's it? This is Nintendo's next big idea? An HD system with a giant DS controller?

My thoughts were the same when I looked at it. I wish Nintendo would try to up there online play. Some of there big hit games are unplayable online due to the lag. Like Brawl for example. They got smart added the online for it but the online is weak. I also was never a fan of how Nintendo never wanted to jump on the achievement or trophy deal. If I can see this coming to the next gen Wii system I might buy it, but my games now can't hold my interest past the story because of the lack of online, or the online just not having any record keeping. I won't go into voice chat because that's a touchy subject but in my opinion, having it optional would be nice.

I'm not entirely sure why but I'm getting more and more pumped for the WiiU.

I'll most likely sit back on this one until I see some game lineup that interests me more.

I'm hoping for a legit Pokemon game that can be played online.
