It has a google earth type of feature!?,The lighting&other changes during the Zelda game was pretty cool!

No, they need to make games for the franchises they forgot they have. Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Earthbound, and Wario to name a few.
Donkey Kong Country Returns and Wario Land Shake It mean nothing to you?

I still want a console, 3D Earthbound/Mother. Remake, sequel I don't care. All I know is Giygas would be freaking amazing to fight in HD.

Damn I'm DEFINITELY picking one of these up. Just seeing that Zelda Demo just blew me away with the way you can direct the camera not to mention the lighting. WOW!!! :)

Between DKCR and DK64, there were just the bongo games, a couple of handhelds, and the Mario vs DK puzzle games. Wario has only had 2 console games (Wario World and Shake It). Everything else has been on the handheld and nothing but WarioWare games since Wario Land 4 in 2001.

Yeah, then doesn't that mean they're starting to do exactly what you want them to? Continue those franchises on the consoles?

Maybe it's true with Donkey Kong, but Warioland Shake It came out almost 4 years ago.

There'll probably be a new one for the WiiU. Why would there need to be more then one each generation? Hell until Galaxy 2 there had been only one main series Mario game each generation since the SNES, and he's a heavy hitter. I admit those other series you mentioned (Star Fox, Earthbound) NEED new games, but you can't expect them to be pumped out.

Do you guys think the WiiU will have a lack of good third-party games?

Well the only evidence we have is from E3 and from that, it's looking pretty good. What with all those interviews and all.

No, it is comparable to the PS3 and 360 so it should get ports of all new releases, it's already getting ports of old releases (Arkham City).

Though, when development moves on to the PS4 and/or 720 I think it'll be a little more grim for WiiU 3rd party support.

Wii U version in the works for Project Cars

Need For Speed: Shift developer Slighty Mad Studios has confirmed that a Wii U version of their upcoming racing sim Project Cars is in development.

The yet-to-launch Nintendo console has been added to the game’s website.

Project Cars is a unique concept where the community will play an active role in the game’s and feedback from those taking part in the open beta will be rewarded with a share of the game’s profit.

As announced earlier, the game’s also in development for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, but has no date yet.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

Sounds good, but yeah I figured the future would be bleak.

If those graphics are what the WiiU can produce, the "hardcore" set should have no qualms with the console now.

Xbox 720 Specs
In real terms, the Xbox 720's raw graphics processing power is expected to be six times that of the Xbox 360 and will yield 20-percent greater performance than Nintendo's forthcoming console, the Wii U.

20% is not an insurmountable difference. The WiiU will be just as powerful and Microsoft and Sony's next.

 That's pretty great thing to hear.

nice

if Nintendo learned any lessons from the 3DS release, is that they should have a Mario / Zelda game with the WiiU launch

Definitely needs a Mario game, I would hold Zelda off for a few months. They need to spread out their heavy-hitters more to ensure that the WiiU will have a long, healthy life.

Possible name change.

CVG understands that following a disappointing E3 reveal - and public confusion over 3DS - serious discussions are ongoing at the highest level in the US and Japan as to whether the firm should cut its losses and give the console a different name. Public confusion over the Nintendo 3DS has forced the platform holder to roll out bold red box stickers to differentiate the similarly-named system from the original DS, and it even enforced the TV tagline 'This is not DS. This is Nintendo 3DS.'

It's been indicated that Nintendo is keen not to repeat the same mistakes with its next-generation home console, and we're told a change of name is a real possibility - especially after president Satoru Iwata told investors Wii U needs to learn "a bitter lesson" from 3DS and public confusion over its features.
Nintendo showed off the Wii U for the first time at E3 2011, which resulted in its share price dropping to a five year low.

A strong focus on Wii U's new controller with a screen - first revealed by CVG - and barely a glimpse of the console itself left some consumers bemused as to what the Wii U was, and Iwata confessed the company should have better explained how it works.

He said following E3: "Because we put so much emphasis on the controller, there appeared to be some misunderstandings. We should have made more effort to explain how it works.
"We haven't made any kind of blunder, but I should have shown a single picture of the new console, then started talking about the controller. The console is not drastically different, and Wii U is about the controller. The console itself will be almost invisible."

I wasn't aware of the confusion with the 3DS. I'm fine with the title of Wii U now, but I wouldn't mind a new name.

I really liked the original rumors before E3 that the new system would be called "Nintendo".
