Man I have no clue what you just said..lol

I'm just remembering when they were saying/ pushing the age of the pc as gaming entertainment system is a "dead genre" which wasn't that long ago. and game stop bought in to that for a while. And was the reason a lot of game makers were trying to skip it over with certain games. this is a complete turn around hearing this now. The current consoles are considered pc's. The very thing certain people that wanted the "consoles" to replace and claim was dead. WOW.

Gotcha, I see what your saying.. I think it really evolved in that it is more PC "like" just more user friendly. In other words they applefied it now, so to speak. Microsoft and sony consoles are just streamlined PC's. In other words you maynot find microsoft office on them but hell eventually you probably could download the app nor is there a prompt to install a games etc.. All in all it came full circle PC/gaming wise.

They definitely need to showcase to both adults and kids that this thing is something you cannot live without. Bringing on a lot of M rated titles, obvious as it is, will get that quote unquote "hardcore" crowd.
It's not just about the games though.

A huge selling point that the Wii had was motion controls with Wii Sports really showcasing the potential. With Wii U, they need to really drive home why the GamePad is just as important (being able to free up the TV and play on the controller). That, price, date, and the details of their online strategy are the most important features that need to be showcased.
I was going more by the whole innovation over specs thing.
Ah...I see. I definitely agree with that.

Ahh ok that i'll take.

The friend I have that played the WiiU at the GS Conference can't stop raving about it. He can be a bit of a hard sell on things... So him being as impressed with it tells me a lot. I will preorder it as soon as I can.

Those are some tiny HDDs, and the price for the gamepad is predictably expensive, but everything else sounds great.

The Premium set includes a black console and a black Game Pad, an AC adapter, a HDMI cable, a Game Pad dock, a console stand and a two-year Nintendo Network Premium subscription that runs through to December 2014. Here's another look at the alternative controllers Bens mentioned that you can pick up riht away with the screen ones if you don't want to use the latter ones I just mentioned.

New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land, pro controller priced for Japan
(1 hour ago)
11

New Super Mario Bros. U will cost ¥6,000 ($77) and Nintendo Land will be ¥5,000 ($64) in Japan. Both games launch with the Wii U on its Japanese release date, which was just revealed as December 8.

The Pro Controller, pictured above, will cost ¥5,000 at Japanese launch.

Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe both have Wii U events scheduled for 10AM ET (3PM British) to reveal pricing, date and release details for those regions.

There's a bit more. But i chose the controller cause Rashed has everything else covered and all of them are a bunch of separated articles.

Nintendo is charging for their online service? I think Id be wary about them given the Wii

Sounds good. I'll get the premium version. Not shocked about the 2nd Wiipad pricing.... Hell regular controllers are stupidly priced, IMHO. Nintendo charging for online gives me hope that right out of the box it will better than PSN and hell, at least they give you a year free.

Wouldn't be shocked to see a January release date for the States... Which I'm cool with

I'll still stick with 350 price for premium. I know 30, 000 yen is like 385 US dollars but I don't see them bumping it to 400 here.

Ya I'll get the premium as well.

I know the Pro Controller will be the first thing to buy for me as well, as for games....

Rayman Legends, New Super Mario Wii U, and Pikmin 3 will be my first purchases I think.

Japan prices rarely translate into USD and things tend to ve more expensive there anyway so that sounds about right

Wow November 18th? Comes out here before Japan.

Wow Nintendo Land comes with Deluxe set...I will buy that even more so. 350 for the deluxe, worth it to me.
