I guess it's all speculation at this point, but with everything thing we have been reading about recently, I am wondering how much Wayne/Batman screentime we're actually gonna get.

Ask Scissor Puppy.

Just about to say that. He said with Batman and Bruce's screentime together they have just about as much screentime as the Joker, so I do think he'll be downsized. In Scissor Puppy I trust!!!

i check these boards everyday, but i guess i missed out on this scissorpuppy person

The Joker has more time than Batman, but about the equal amount of time as Batman/Bruce Wayne together!

So, Scissor Puppy, how did the script make all its way to you in Orlando Florida if I may be too bold to ask? And also, why the **** are you lying?:woot:

TEOL...

ahha :woot:

interesting thread, though. i think batman will be slightly downsized, but not so drastically that it's the joker's movie. i think it'll seem like batman leads a large ensemble movie

Im thinking Batman will be on screen more than the Joker but the Jokers schemes and plots will be the main story, not so much of Bruces troubles.

we'll probably see something like B89 in terms of screen time

No way. Yeah, there's a lot of action going on with the different gangs and The Joker in TDK, but Batman/Bruce will be at the center of all of it. Plus, this is different than Begins. He starts off as being Batman rather than having to go through the origin.

See thats the problem, we already know Batman now in nolans world, but the Joker is just getting introduced, I'm just hoping its a long movie, at least 2 hours and 15 minutes

Anything less than 2 hours for me would be disappointing, as long as nothing is dragged out.

But if you look at Begins, the bad guys were introduced there (Scarecrow, Falcone, and later on, the real R'as), but the focus was still much more on Batman. Even while Bruce/Batman's story was being told, the film was going back and forth checking on the bad guys' side of the story.

I'm confident that while the focus will remain very much on Batman, we'll see enough Joker as well.

I see your point, but The Joker is the end-all, be-all villain, hes gonna comand a lot more attention than any other villain in the Bat-world

I think nolan will find a way to please 90% of the people who go see it, i just dont want it to be a short movie.

I'm incredibly conflicted.

After such a strong origin story, I'd hate to see less of Bruce/Batman on screen. At the same time (as others have mentioned), I really want to see The Joker dominate this film. I agree that he is the be all, end all villain in that there's so much you can do with him. From set reports thus far, it seems like they are definitely heading in the right direction. I think the whole notion of 'mysterious lurking in the background' ala the presence of a Rahs Al Ghul in the last movie would be BS.

so in short..

i dont know how i feel

Yeah im definately hoping it will be AT LEAST 2 hours if not longer. The average hour and 30 minutes just wont do it justice.

Begins was 2+ hours so hopefully we'll at least get that
