I gotta rant here...

WORST MOVIE OF THE YEAR BY FAR. Total, unrelenting crap. I was more confused in this movie then in Inception. 80% of the jokes didnt work at all, the story was all over the ****ing place.

It was poorly directed, everything was poor. There were a few...and I mean FEW decent scenes....but the whole movie was just....augh. I was almost in pain by the end of the movie. I left 4 times to walk around the theater, and everytime I came back, it was like I never left. The same BS was still going on. So I walked out. I couldnt deal with it any more.

WTF was up with the pimp stuff? The weird subplots...the hobos, everything! Jesus....it was borderline Epic Movie trash right there. GOOD comedies have a plot, and they STICK to that plot. Dispite the jokes, the plots still always there. See Pinapple Express, 40 Year Old Virgin, and Hot Fuzz for a better crack at comedy.

Hell, even Anchorman, and TN were good movies.

Only good part was the Rock's and Jackson's death. That's it. I ****ing hate this movie so much.

2/10. 2 for the their death scene.

I had the same issue with this movie as I had with Pineapple Express: There's a point in both movies where there's too much plot going on and when they try to cram everything in the resolution, and tying all of the loose ends, it becomes less funny. In both movies, the third act becomes a mess.

Pretty much. But Pinapple's was less noticiable to me atleast. There were some odd points, and I thought the end scene was awful...but it wasnt as bad as this was.

Are you talking about the part where Red leaps out the farmhouse after it exploded? That part was so bad it was hilarious.

I'll admit that The Other Guys was slowing down in the third act but what Michael Keaton imo saved last parts of the film from being a complete disaster.

What did you think about Michael Keaton because I thought he was hilarious.

Plenty of stupidity as mentioned, but thats typical for comedies these days.

However, I will say that Mark Wahlberg is possibly the worst actor who can still land a job.

Why would Twilight fans see this first of all? Second, they think the Twilight haters might see it? People who hate Twilight will want absolutely nothing to do with Twilight, even if it means parodying it.

The movie is funny to start and rolls along nicely but quickly loses all steam and finishes quite weak. Having every single character be an off center borderline nutjob loses something without any straight men to set them up or play off of. Mark Wahlberg played the straight man part well for the first half of the movie but turns as loony as everyone else before it’s over. A few laugh out loud moments save the entire experience.

This is weird...you guys are saying it sucks. But so far word of mouth from what I've heard has been REALLY good for this film.
