there was an R&B group from Atlanta called TLC..they had numerous hits however one of their members Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez became a bad girl and then she was killed in a car accident.

That's right. I totally didn't even think of the group, I thought it was initials for a movie. At first I thought it was for The Last Crusade but then read Doctor Jones's quotes and was thinking there was no connection. :hehe:

I also loved:

how easily they got bribed and ended up with courtside seats at the Knicks and tickets to Jersey Boys. Then later Ernshaw was offering up tickets to Rock of Ages. :funny:

:woot:

But dude, see this movie. And don't read anymore quotes. The writing is great. Oart of what makes it so great is the unpreditability of it and the deliveries.

And Eva Mendes. Sweet Jesus. :wow:

Part of it reminded me of the Airplane movies (like the scene with Eva Mendes' mother), how some of the dialogue was outrageous to the scene.

I plan on seeing it tomorrow or Sunday. I like Will Ferrell(minus Semi-Pro)and this looks really funny. I also didn't know that Keaton was in this, that's a huge bonus. :)

Now i'm sold.

saw this in the paper today

good to see Keaton in a high profile flick again...man he deserves so much more work!

That was hilarious. I saw the movie in NYC, and the audience was dying laughing when the one cop yelled [BLACKOUT]"You shoulda shot A-Rod!"[/BLACKOUT] :funny:

The movie was really funny.

What makes it even funnier is that A-rod just hit his 600th home run and no on cares (I do). As both a Yankees fan and living just outside of NYC, it was so funny.

"Bye Shiela!"

:lmao:

But seriously Eva Mendes was incredibly hot.

I also loved:

That was funny. I loved how [BLACKOUT]Tracy Morgan[/BLACKOUT] made a small cameo in this film. It was like he was saying "Well my buddy-cop film failed, so I might as well be on the winning team."

I'm a huge Yankees fan too, and the funniest part of [BLACKOUT]the A-Rod line is that if something like that really happened, that's probably would people would be saying. :wow:[/BLACKOUT]

And they cut some of Derek's stuff too - they were filming scenes with him as a homeless guy on Coney Island last fall. It made the cover of the NY Post at the time.

I loved how he was just sitting there! :funny:

And I've seen Jersey Boys, that's pretty much how the audience reacts for the entire show.

I loved the movie. Definitely funnier than "Talladega Nights".
When Samuel L. Jackson and The Rock leapt off the building I couldn't stop laughing. I really would love to see that part again. I also loved the silent fight after their funeral.

So for those that have seen this and "Dinner for Schmucks" which one is funnier?

It's too bad we don't have a David Keochner movie coming out anytime soon. Would have had Ron Burgundy, Brian Fantana, Brick Tamland and Champ Kind all in different movies at the same time.

I'd kinda rate them the same. Both have good jokes sprinkled throughout with a couple big laugh scenes each.

Let me tell you this story about a man from Austria...

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER! :awesome:

Funniest movie of the year. Probably the best Ferrell movie since Anchorman. A future classic and DVD purchase just for the outtakes and alternate lines. Just a fun film that did not feel like a 107 minute movie. Nice to see Ferrell not play an arrogant ignorant man child but still put out an amazing performance. Some people in my crowd were clapping after his tuna attacking lions rant. I was hoping Keaton would have a strong summer with Toy Story 3 and The Other Guys, he surpassed expectations and any future comedy film should want him in it.

Just got back from seeing this solid 8 out of 10. Not as funny as talladgea or anchorman, step brothers, but funnier than semi pro, land of the lost and dinner for shmucks. It was definitely better than I thought it would be many moments that were just classic! Desk shot, gambles dark past lol, the way they got brided two times, rock and SAMs little accident etc. This movie will also give you a new image of the words soup kitchen lol. Plus Keaton and the extremely hot Eva Mendez was just win!!!

I saw both this week (and I usually don't see two films in one week) and The Other Guys was funnier by leaps and bounds. Dinner for Schmucks was an okay movie, but The Other Guys was great.

Just got back from it. I would say an 8.8/10. Very funny, yet the last act kinda had some "less funny" parts. But it picked up again at the very end. Keaton's character was superb. I would say this is up there with Anchorman. And ahead of Step Brothers and Taledega Nights.

As some one else said it's nice to see Will play an actual character and not just a man child.

"Give gator his gat b****!"

I laughed at that pretty hard. I was shocked too how funny Marky Mark was.

I laughed my butt off when:

They got drunk together that was funny as hell. That and Sam Jackson and The Rock's characters jumping off of the roof lol.

I thought it was okay. The directing/editing was terrible. The movie felt jolted and it skipped around too much. The movie opens with a car chase and then suddenly at the NYSE for a 10 second bit and then back to the cops. WTF!?

It had some hilarious lines but it felt a bit too long. Also...Marky Mark's acting was terrible to me and there were wayyyy too many characters. Steve Coogan was surprisingly tame in this.

7/10

Keaton used to be a go to guy for comedy , I wouldn't mind seing another Beetlejuice.

I just got back from it and am glad I saw it. Not quite as funny as Anchorman but it got more than enough laughs out of me.

That whole sequence from start to finish was HILARIOUS!!!

When they got on the roof and they had 'Heroes' from Foo Fighter playing I kept asking myself, 'Hmm...what are they gonna do now?"

When they jump, I said to myself, "Ooooookay? Let's see where they're going with this, are they gonna land on a tourist bus? A big rig?"

Then as they are slowly approaching the pavement i'm going, "Um...."

SPLAT!!!

From then all the way to the silent fight at the memorial I was LMAO!!!!

Favorite scene of the movie, HANDS DOWN!!!
