Will Forte is The Last Man on Earth

I think I wouldn't mind watching an entire show based on the first half of the first episode.

According to IMDB, there will be other cast members including Boris Kodjoe.

I bet he gets introduced right before Phil hooks up with January Jones' character.

On another note: I hope they give her something to do other than be pretty.

I hope another male character has a role in a flashback. Because if another man appears, then it really isn't the last man on Earth.

I envision the show evolving into a show with them finding more quirky people and going through the entire processes of creating a community to save the human race.

I'm thinking Walking Dead but instead of battling zombies they're battling personalities and sexual frustration with Phil at its heart, lol.

Maybe he truly is the last man on Earth if the only survivors they keep finding are women.:cwink:

I don't know, I think if another man appears, then the premise gets irrelevant.

That's my point, so let him be the last man on Earth. No one said anything about being the last person on Earth.

IMDB says that there are two other actors: Cleopatra Coleman and Mel Rodriguez in the cast.

I just laugh so hard at the random stuff they bring back to the house. When I saw the T Rex at the dinner table, I just started laughing really hard.

This show is so funny.

Sure, sure, that could be an interesting idea. One man and women keep appearing somehow.

Other options:

Mid-transition male-to-female transgendered person
Male astronaut who was on the international space station when it all happened and somehow makes his way back to earth
Children of either gender

The more I watch the show, the more I think this show is not really about an end-of-world scenario, but is a meta-satire on the conventions of the American sitcom. Essentially, the characters on this show are living in a created universe not unlike any other sitcom, where you have a small group of characters who only seem to associate with each other, don't leave a small geographical area and do the same repetitive tasks in the same place constantly. Except in this case it is an established part of the storyline, whereas in most sitcoms it goes unacknowledged.

The episode I am seeing now isn't unlike an episode of 3's Company, that's what got me thinking.

So I guess Last Man on Earth is an artifact title now...

Are they burning off episodes? I hope this doesn't get cancelled

And they always end episodes in the most abrupt ways haha

I mean, I'm pretty sure there's some kind of scam going on.

The show has been playing with the expectations of what we usually see in sitcoms.

[BLACKOUT]Todd is the sitcom fat guy who gets the hot chick despite is idiotic nature, except now he's actually a good guy and have something in common.[/BLACKOUT]

Maybe. Or maybe the final scene of the season finale will have Phil, Carol, Melissa and Todd sitting around the campfire having a conversation. Suddenly, a car pulls up, and a single woman we've never seen before steps out. She looks at Phil and asks "what the hell are you doing?"

The camera pans back to Phil, and he's sitting at the campfire alone with three balls.

Please let this be the case! I'm still enjoying the show but I feel like it has now wandered into standard sitcom territory. A scene like yours would bring it back to the high point of the first couple of episodes.

And that doesn't mean Carol, Melissa and Todd can't be around after season 1. They can show up still as Phil's "head Cylons" as he interacts with the real world.

Having Todd defeats the point of the series....

hmmmm i dont know how would I feel about that reveal that Pink Ranger proposed.

It would be kinda interesting but for some reason it would bum me out so much. But it would return the show to it's title sake.
