And kill the Joker what will you think??

Even if you kill off the Joker, there will still be people online re-evaluating the footage, claiming he's still alive. Look at how much time was spent trying to prove R'as was still alive, even when he pretty much bit it big time, slamming into pillar after pillar before finally blowing up in the train. Yeah, he's an immortal character in the comics because of the Lazarus Pit, but in Nolan's world? Give me a break.

I don't think Nolan will have him killed, at least not in TDK.

No he won't kill The Joker because Nolan needs him scarring Dent in the third movie.

No, and we know this because Goyer said joker will be capturedat the end of number 2 and go on trial in number 3 scarring harvey dent in the process.

Boss Moroni is about the only character from the comics that I see possibly dying in these films.

 :) indeed

Joker makes Two-Face? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it was Burtons choice fully. I was under the impression that Nicholson's contract was only for the one movie(and ****loads of money)

Right, because there's no way to have a character in one movie, but not in the sequel, unless you kill him off.

Especially if that actor has a clause in his contract where his character is killed off.

No he won't kill the Joker. It'll be something simulair as BB.

I thought it was said in the very beginning of production of this Batman franchise that The Joker would be completely different from BATMAN and that The Joker would be in the third movie.

If i'm not mistaken, Nolan and Goyer have criticized the past franchises habit of killing off villains. I believe one of them stated they believed Burton made a mistake in killing of the Joker. That leads me to assume that they wont be doing that.

Not in the second movie will he die but he will be standing trial at the end of the second and break loose at the beggining of the third after scarring dent

presumably they will catch him and end it with Joker being in Arkham, not dead...

In a June 2005 interview with Premiere magazine, Batman Begins screenwriter David S. Goyer said, "The next one would have Batman enlisting the aid of Gordon and Dent in bringing down the Joker ... but not killing him. In the third movie, the Joker would go on trial, scarring Dent in the process."[1]

Straight from David Goyers Mouth!!

I wont have a problem if the Joker dies. Either way works for me.

Joker made Batman in B89 instead Joe Chill.

Now Joker makes Two-Face instead Boss Moroni.

Is that pulling a Burton?

I hate the idea of Joker scarring Dent. I also don't think that Nolan will make the mistake of killing off the Joker as Burton did. R'as death was pretty ambigious and he could easily comeback because we never actually saw him die.

I doubt Joker will die. I think Nolan wants to distance his movies from Burton's work, & he should.
As for the Joker marking Dent, I like the idea. It fits his motif more, that he would spray acid in someone's face. I find that more plausible than a mob boss doing it. Plus, let's say he's never used the flower before. It's less likely that a bailiff would check it, so I can buy him being able to get it into the courtroom.
