We should only see HERBIE if they change him into a transforming killer robot with guns sticking out of his arms. If he appears as the flying trash can it should only be as target practice for the human torch in the first two minutes of the movie.

This franchise doesn't need to add a Jar Jar Binks character especially since the first film was only average. They need to do much better this time and HERBIE won't help.

Anybody remember that cartoon based off Godzilla '98? They had a robot named NIGEL who was programmed to quote movie dialogue and stuff. He got Mercilessly destroyed in every episode like Kenny from South Park. His creator would always follow that up by screaming, "NIGEL! No-ho-ho!!!" They should do that with HERBIE in every sequel from now on.

They way I remember it, the Human Torch was going to be a tv moive or series like Cap was, but, it wasn't the FF's Torch, it was the 40's Torch.
They decided that it was too dangerous for TV and they created Herbie for the cartoon series THEN not in Comics or any other production.
Heribie was actually supposed to be also refered to in the movie by both Johnny and Ben, because Herbie was supposed to be the auto pilot.
