As the name of thread says...so yeah what do you all think?
If so,could they be done right and how??

Magneto and Doom are cool, but to me they didn't get used to their full potential,Galactus is still a cloud in the movie universe. It would just be nice to see more gigantic classic villians. I'm tired of the average or low quality villians in comic book movies when it comes to Marvel for the most part.

IMO,the only classic comic book villians that were done right is Iron Monger and Magneto. Dr.Doom/Blackheart/Meph,well sort of.
Sabretooth to me was undone by his design, and Juggernaut was undone by a bit of a poor costume and a foreign accent and his build. I think Juggernaut's design could have been done justice by being made to appear bigger by getting his body stretched out wide enough via CGI.

Doc looked alright, but I don't think he was used to his potential.
I agree with you about Blackheart,Mark should have had him go all out and should have had him look like his big monster self like how he is in the Marvel vs Capcom games. Meph was just lacking proper use and a cool look,he looked alright though and he sounded good in human form. I would have liked Green Goblin if he wasn't undone by his costume,I would have totally prefered his classic costume which we are very familiar with. Unncessary changes should stop in comic book movies! But I am for necessary changes of course if it sounds reasonable enough to me.

Yes, I think Apocalypse should be in X-Men 4, assuming there is one.

He's a major X-Men villain and seeing him on film would be visually stunning. Since Galactus has been confirmed for the Silver Surfer spin-off film (in his true form, I think), having Apocalypse is a natural idea.

Not too sure about Thanos, I assume he'd be in a movie eventually, depending how many they make.

Mephisto was done pretty well, I liked MSJ's idea, but I would've liked to see Mephisto transform at the end and show a little more "evil". Same goes for Blackheart, great set-up and a horrible transformation at the end, he should've gone all out, true comic book Blackheart form.. would've been much more visually appealing and just a better ending.

Dr. Doom just needs some work, along with the rest of the F4 movies, though I think parts were done well.

Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin were done very well I thought.

Let's hope Apocalypse is in a movie with a young version of X-Men,if that movie even is officially going to be made. He's one of my fav Marvel super villians. Speaking of a X-Men movie,I wonder why Rothman was against robots in the X-Men movie universe, the odd
thing is how he allowed a bit of the Sentinels to be used, well sort of(because of the training room in X-Men:The Last Stand).

$$$. Animating sentinels is expensive. That's why they weren't allowed. The sentinel head in The Last Stand was a cheap fix and no where near the cost of what would actually be needed to incorporate sentinels as a plotline.

Apocalypse would be interesting if he wasn't such a lame character half of the time. Anymore, he's little more than a one trick pony. If anything, he should be saved for future movies if the franchise ever gets a reboot. They shouldn't use him for the young X-Men.

S.A.A.D. you just sumed everything I thought about those Marvel villains. As for Thanos or Apocalypse? Give it time. There's bound to be room for those character eventually, no telling what the distant future may ever bring. As for the the near future, or even regular future for that matter? I don't see it happening, but it would be cool.

Are you sure that is the only reason Rothman would be against having robots in Marvel movies(because of too much money)?????

I hope so.

Villians like those IMO could save a comic book movie from being very bad if one doesn't think the good guy or guys is cool. Speaking of a good
guy in comic book movies,I'm not sure if non Captain America fans will find him(Captain America) cool to the point that they would see him in his movie, based on what I know about him, there unfortunately doesn't seem to be much about him that can be fun to see. His suit looks nice, and he has a shield he can throw around,he can do lots of acrobatics like a gymnist, but I just dunno. Hopefully I am proven wrong,if he ends up sucking IMO,then I guess I would only watch the movie for Red Skull(I am positive he will be in it),unless I am wrong and he ends up being awful too.

Thanos is probably going to be in the SS movie. Even though he's kind out of SS's league, he was his main nemesis in his animated series.
Doc Doom's look was ok but his total lacked.....doom. He wasn't anywhere near as bad arse like he was in the comics.

Now? Probably. During the production of X2, from which sentinels were originally cut? I don't know... but after the success of Transformers, I doubt Rothman questions the popularity of watching heroes duke it out with giant, metal robots.

if there is an xmen4 we might see an apocalypse but for some reason they want a different direction for the franchise.

so far we have seen no cosmic villains, except for the Galactus Cloud in Fantastic Four 2.. THOR will be the first full film to kind of go there.. I guess then from there the jury's out, until there's a Silver Surfer film... his film will probably be the most likely to have Thanos, etc.

I'd rather see Mister Sinister before Thanos or Apocalypse in a movie.
But between those Thanos and Apocalypse. I'd like to see Apocalypse.

I would absolutely LOVE to see Thanos and especially Apocalypse (my all time favourite comics villain, even though i only saw him in the 90's animated series). If i ever see Apocalypse done faithfully in a movie, a movie that is good, i will just geek out.

But in all honesty, my guess is we will see Thanos first, possibly in an SS movie.

I'll have Thanos in a Infinity Gauntlet animation film, please. It'd be all kinds of awesomes, unless they changed Thanos into a child, or something.

I think Thanos may be in the Surfer movie. As for Apocalypse, not sure.

apocalypse is a must to progress angel's story...

imagine a story line where he's just come to terms with having his wings and then they are taken away from him and watching the desperation as he turns to apocalypse for a 'cure' with rogue also wanting a permanent cure to her condition as people's powers start to return...

If I were running that X-Men show, I'd do this:

X4: Mr. Sinister creates Legacy Virus to destroy all the world's humans and mutants to create his own race of perfect beings using the remains of Jean Grey, and the DNA of the recently discovered as alive Cyclops. He creates Nathan Grey as his prototype of the perfect being. Anyways, Cyclops beats Sinister, Wolverine creates cure for virus (he is the franchise hero, so he has to do something important), and I have yet to figure out something important for Nathan...though I see him bonding with and freeing Cyclops. At the end of the movie, Charles comes back (in his new body) and proclaims he's had visions of an oncoming Apocalypse.

X5: Apocalypse comes to invoke the philosophy of survival of the fittest upon the world. We learn Sinister was an agent of his (the horseman death), and takes Angel as his new Death. I'd make his Horseman Archangel, Abyss, Holocaust, and Mikhail Rasputin (AoA baby!!!) This leads to a massive battle.

Also, in my two X-Men movies, X-Men members die (this eliminates characters, creates drama, and saves me money on characters that won't appear in sequels).

I would love to see Apocalypse in a movie. Though he'd have to be voiced over as a CG character; I say Hugo Weaving since he did Megatron.

It's too bad Marvel Studio's can't snag up X-Men. :(

Why do you want to see huge baddies on film? We are getting the Abomination this June. And Iron Monger totally rocked. But having too many of them is overdoing it.

Apocalypse isn't that big if he doesn't enlarge himself.
