Wiping a once blank DVD out

I have a dvd r disk with some old stuff on it and i want to wipe it out and put new stuff on it, Its kinda urgent, please help soon!

DVD-R's are permanent once written.

DVD-RW's can be erased and rewritten.

Same thing. CD-R lets you write once. CD-RW lets you erase and rewrite.

hrm... ok I have CD-R Blanks, but my computer isnt reading them...nice.

I think I just have a DVD Drive on my computer... well crap.

If you want to render it unreadable...
Take a knife and make X marks on it all over the place..
Nice and deep

Also take a marker and black it out a tad...

Of course...cracking it in half.

DO NOT put it in your microwave.
