Earlier our family cat appeared to have a bleeding mass of sorts below her and we immediately rushed her to the nearest animal hospital, and it turns out it may be a mammary tumor. We're awaiting the results of her blood work and cytology to determine what it is she has, how treatable it is and if it'll require surgery to remove. We were even told she may not make it through the surgery if we go through with it, and due to her age (she's an older cat) that her chances of survival are lower than for a younger cat. We're hoping things work out in her favor and the results are good and whatever she has it's treatable and survivable. Please send your best thoughts, wishes and prayers (if you believe the latter) to our cat so everything works out for her and she makes it through this alive. Thank you, and I shall keep you all posted.

Thanks, I hope to report back very soon with good news.

Your cat still got some lives in her.

Good luck with that. I could use some well wishes as well. My cat either ran off from home or was taken on Wednesday morning. :(

:csad: what, omg, check the animal shelters. Ask your neighbors, too. If it's no to both of them, make flyers and put them all over the damn city. I wouldn't be able to sleep if any of the cats went away from the house.

Yeah, we've done what we can whether it be check the neighborhood on foot, post flyers, offer a reward, but nothing as of day 3. It sucks. This was the first time I had attached myself to a pet and it goes missing, though we honestly think it was taken from the front of the house.

Damn...this may not end out nicely. If it was taken, any leads on who may have taken it? Anyone that doesn't like you or cats?

Well, we suspect someone may have taken it because some woman who passes by the house every morning walking her dog asked the same morning that the cat went missing what the cat's name was, that it was adorable, etc. It's nowhere to be found 2 hours or so later. Haven't seen the lady since.

Give her description to the police...then they can make flyers 'Suspected cat stealer' or something.

Eh, we'll see what we can do about all that. In the mean time we'll just have to wait it out.

Thanks guys. She's hanging in there and so far nothing from the doctors. We're beginning to think her mass may be a cyst rather than a tumor.

One of my cats named Wussy, ran off in the middle of the night during one of those flood the whole goddamn city hurricanes. It was missing for a month, just showed up again one day.

Yeah, everyone's been telling us their "our pet ran away and came back" stories to keep our spirits up. I'm hoping to have a similar story to tell soon.

We got the results of her bloodwork back, sounds somewhat normal from what we could understand. I'll keep you all up to date, and thanks again for your well wishes and support.

Well, if it's normal, it means the cat will be okay, right?

Same thing is going on with my 6 year old dog at the moment, she was bleeding heavily and we rushed her to an emergency vet who said it's a tumour. She's gonna have an operation this week to sort it out.

Sorry to hear about your cat.

Both of mine (they were siblings) passed away due to tumors. With both cats, I never got to say good-bye. For what it's worth, go visit your cat in case it never makes it. Even if it's gonna make it, you'll perk up your cat's spirits even briefly by your presence.
