I'm looking forward to Godzilla. But with another America Godzilla film, Matthew Brodrick is still in my mind.

True. I think we're all just caught up on when we'll get a trailer because we're desperate for ANY footage! Haha
And really? You can wait all the way 'til January if you have to?? :]

If the trailer would've included CGI and web swinging; yes, probably. :]
I mean, Imageworks rushed some of the shots in TAS-M just to include them in the early trailers, which apparently resulted in them forgetting (or not bothering) to render the web shooters in this shot (which is included in the final film as well):

I do my best to forget that movie.
And we replaced Brodrick with Cranston, so it's gonna be awesome :)
Honestly though, it does look like it's shaping up to be a good film.

If I may, I would say the writing was pretty good. Certainly above average in terms of dialogue, and although the story was nothing special, it was definitely adequate- it had less obvious plot holes than the 2009 Trek, and everything seemed to flow much better.

To me, there was also an overarching theme of family and the sacrifices that you would be willing to make for them. So that was nice. Everything fit together.

But yeah, overall the script was good. It had some snappy humor that was always in character to go along with plenty of heart and genuine emotion. And some nice references to the original series and movies. Very solid. Makes me feel that Orci and Kurtzman can do great things with Spidey.

On another note, although I wasn't blown away by the film on first viewing, the more I think about it, the more I like it. An improvement over the 2009 Trek, and I'm eager to watch it again. Maybe tomorrow. :yay:

Well, I loved the first film....and the second, just like the first film, have been claimed to be "Star Wars films given the Star Trek title". But to me, they are well executed films and keeps me excited every minute.

Now, what I don't like is the talk of the idea of if Into Darkness is "bad", then one can say well it was mostly from Lindelof. Both Star Trek films have been written by Orci and Kurtzman and I'm a fan of both films. If anything, Lindelof just made the film even more amazing.

I liked the first film. It was fresh and exciting with a great cast and great action, but the villain was very lacking IMO. Plus I didn't like how the story jumped around so much. So the sequel was an improvement to me. Everything flowed better. And Benedict Cumberbatch, although underused in my mind, was very good and menacing. Made me want to check out his Sherlock Holmes series even more.

I also have to say I'm very excited that JJ is directing the next Star Wars. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and I think JJ is just the guy to get it going again. He's a very good director in my mind. Loved Super 8. :hrt:

so... hope for spidey?

Yeah I caught that earlier this week. It's a bummer. I'm totally with you. The wait is worth it if we get a perfect trailer.

Btw, good to hear that Star Trek is doing well and is good. I don't think I've seen a Orci and Kurtzman movie so yeah.

I want too see something official , like the logo or something!:woot: please !

I haven't seen good ol' Webhead in a while here! I hope he hasn't abandoned these boards, he's one of the few really good posters here! :(

This morning was amazing. Batman: Arkham Origins trailer and Red vs Blue season 11 trailer

so... hope for spidey?

Oh, I had hope ever since I heard those two writing the sequel. Never had really any doubts about them because they can make something really great, as seen in the first Star Trek even.

You like Lindelof, Anno?

Yep. I am a LOST fan(but only seasons one through three, haha) and I was a fan of Prometheus.

Oh God...I saw The Hangover II again last night and kept thinking, "This is the guy who's Rhino!" as he ate his soup and took Allan's hat :funny:

I'm really excited about Black Mask in AO. He's a badass!
