The Amazing Spider-Man 2 With Great Sequel Comes Great Lounging - Part 1

Most people have a problem with his Hulk-like appearance. His characterization wasn't bad.

Weird
I though Norton was probably the worst Banner there can be

IMO Bana was the best followed by Ruffalo

Preach it, man. I loved Bana's portrayal of Banner/Hulk the same way I did as Affleck's Murdock/Daredevil (which, the movie is extremely underrated and only gets a bad rep because it's Ben Affleck).

btw, having actually read some GG issues from the Ultimate comics... I don't get the hate

yes, I prefer the original. But the ultimate version isn't really half bad

What do you like in that version? Just curious.

We didnt say it was that bad, we just dont want Hulk Goblin that's all. Having first Lizard (big intelligent cross-species animal), then Rhino (big mehanical armor), then Hulk Goblin (well Hulk who looks like Goblin, another green monster), yup i man not fan of that. Goblin should be opposite of Spiderman personality with similar superpowers: agility, stamina and strenght, and glider to nullify other spiderman abilites.. He needs to be human and not have dual personality just because of serum as he did him that way, he need to be intelligent monster from beggining in human form, as his clothes and mask are just to show how scary and crazy he is to not reveal himself who he really is. :word: Norman is Goblin and Goblin is Norman.

I agree. But like most people I have my preferences.
He's still nuts as hell, but I do prefer him to be a bit smaller than he is in the comic. Less "bodybuilder" like.

I can see why people prefer 616 Gob, he's just so classic. People aren't gonna give that up. I don't mind seeing either one tbh.

Bana was the worst Banner. He was too big, which is a big nono when you're playing a kinda-meek, small character like Bruce Banner, and he didn't bring any depth or...actually, he didn't bring anything except boredom.
Hell, I liked Norton as Banner way more than him, and Ruffalo I'm still deciding after all this time whether I like him or not as Banner, but they're way better than Bana.

I'm still on the edge about Ruffalo's Banner. It doesn't make it any easier that we're supposed to believe he was the same Banner from TIH, when Edward Norton was much better and brought much more depth into the character (imo). To me he was Bruce Banner just like RDJ is Tony Stark.

I didn't mind Ruffalo's Banner, and I did enjoy Norton's Banner as well...Bana's was okay, but nothing all special.

What I didn't like about the two different Banners in the MCU is Norton's Banner seemed to control his Hulk persona in the end of TIH and then all of a sudden he's angry all the time in TA? Makes absolutely no sense and zero consistency. But, that's pretty much the gist when it comes to the MCU :funny:

I can't even imagine how akward it'd be if there was a solo Hulk film again and Liv Tyler would now have to create the same chemistry with Ruffalo

They need a new Betty Ross since they have a new Bruce Banner. Evangeline Lilly is my choice.

And Spiderdevil...

He is not Mandarin's muscle though,no matter how you put it

Yah, because it would be such a shocker if Hulk becomes Mandarin's muscle...I'm sorry, but what did they actually end up doing that is way worse? Oh yah, they made Mandarin the character that's already in the comics, Aldrich Killian.

I actually don't care about any MCU movie except IM1,IM3 and maybe TA

I like realism, but that doesn't mean complete realism
Even when there are superpowers,a scienticfic explanation would go a long way

Just going 'These are mystical rings, deal with it' is a Strict no for me

Okay, gotcha. Although the reasoning wouldn't really be just "these are mystical rings, deal with it". The writer of the article even said that he didn't think it all out, but there would be an explanation of this new source of magic.

Nope,everyone else was knocked out

Captain spoke almost as he raised his hand to shoot,He didn't order it before

Still a dumb cop that pulled the trigger even when his captain told him not to shoot. Stupid cop is a stupid cop. Admit it.

Going after Bane wasn't the problem, sending the whole damn force was

This never happens, they could have just shown like 50% went in there or something

A Commissioner sending the entire police force in one area...like BB, but yet you won't bring that up :o

A Captain would not focus most of his attention on a costumed vigilante when there's a giant lizard around too.

Commissioner Gordon sending the entire police force to capture a TERRORIST isn't as bad as you think.

The guys who went after The Lizard were more heavy duty, everyone can see that

And Stacy was just flying in the air,he arrived when Spider man was knocked out.He would have gone to the Lizard site if they had managed to capture him

Hrm....no....the guys going after Lizard and who fought Spidey had the same amount of protection, lol.

Captain Stacy was also flying in the helicopter SEARCHING for Spider-Man. His main focus was Spider-Man.

It DID

Cops make mistakes, yes, but its rarely 'in-the-face' stupid or 'facepalm' stupid like TDKR's

I am not being biased,Cap Stacy going 'Whats she doing up there' in SM3 when Gwen was hanging on for her dear life was dumb

Lol, the SWAT did have another way to go in TDK but they chose to do the more ridiculous choice.

There are far more "facepalm stupid" mistakes cops make...like TDK. Like that dumb ass cop in TAS-M.

And yes, you are being biased by thinking Captain Stacy did anything better than in TDKR. Nice one.

What do you like in that version? Just curious.

I dunno, it's just that the version really fits with the way they are telling Norman in the ultimate comics. I don't know really how to explain it, but it just fits within the context. I do hope that in the movie they'll go with the 616 GG though

Got my tickets for Man of Steel opening night. Prime seating. Oh yeah. :yay:

Nice!

There's a review up on CBM.com(wasn't from any of those guys), and the guy gave the film a 8/10, BUT...he also gave TDKR a 9/10, so anyone who wasn't a fan of TDKR, I could see them not really trusting the review.

Ah I see! Yeah, if we're going to get Gwen's death, then it definitely must be classic Green Goblin. I'd want a 616 Gobby in any case though.

I have pretty high expectations for Man of Steel even though I haven't been a fan of Superman since childhood. He's felt dated and corny to me, but this film definitely seems to change that. It feels like they finally have managed to make Superman feel modern, relevant and awesome. Maybe this is just a case of me finally opening my eyes for the character, but it's still thanks to the trailers and info of this movie and the discussions due to that and I don't think the final product will change that. Someone, I think it was you Anno, said something that definitely made me like the character more. It was that the struggle, danger and question is not whether Superman himself will survive the threat, but if he will manage to protect the people of Earth. There's something about that I really like and gives me goosebumps. That makes me appreciate so much more that he's so seemingly over powered.

8/10 is the least I expect from this film.

I hardly read Iron Man comics and actually hated the Mandarin Character(most of Iron Man's villain for that matter) so it didn't matter that much to me

Okay, gotcha. Although the reasoning wouldn't really be just "these are mystical rings, deal with it". The writer of the article even said that he didn't think it all out, but there would be an explanation of this new source of magic.
Scientific/power rings instead of Magic ring would be better for me

Still a dumb cop that pulled the trigger even when his captain told him not to shoot. Stupid cop is a stupid cop. Admit it.
The Captain's Order was too LATE
Had it been before hand and he would have adequate time to respond,I would call him dumb too
Actually that's not being dumb per se,its being too trigger happy and aggressive

A Commissioner sending the entire police force in one area...like BB, but yet you won't bring that up :o
Commissioner Gordon sending the entire police force to capture a TERRORIST isn't as bad as you think.
I don't remember BB so cant comment about that

A Captain would not focus most of his attention on a costumed vigilante when there's a giant lizard around too.
And he did not,most of his attention was on the Lizard}
He send frecken SWAT with assault rifles

Hrm....no....the guys going after Lizard and who fought Spidey had the same amount of protection, lol.
You don't see the difference between Assualt Rifles and Tracers?

Captain Stacy was also flying in the helicopter SEARCHING for Spider-Man. His main focus was Spider-Man.
How did you get to that conclusion?

Lol, the SWAT did have another way to go in TDK but they chose to do the more ridiculous choice.
We don't know that and we cant say that from the video

There are far more "facepalm stupid" mistakes cops make...like TDK. Like that dumb ass cop in TAS-M.
Nope,Not at all
Words cannot decide the *facepalm* I did when Foley went "Every fecken cop in the city is in those tunnels''
And to top it all off, they lower food to keep them alive
It was just lazy writing, they wanted to get the police force out of the way so Bale could take control

Agreed, it seems like a reasonable score for sure, but I hope others will view it higher...it could end up becoming one of the biggest CBMs and the feeling I get watching the trailers and TV spots...it's been a while since I've felt such a way with a CBM.

I hardly read Iron Man comics and actually hated the Mandarin Character(most of Iron Man's villain for that matter) so it didn't matter that much to me

Mandarin is Iron Man's Joker/Lex Luthor/Green Goblin. Even if one doesn't read the comics, they could easily tell just by the 90s cartoon and Shane Black screwed the pooch on that one by making The Mandarin really just another screwed up businessmen(like we hadn't seen those in the past two IM films ). Even thinking about IM3 makes me wish Jon Favreau just went along with his first decision and used Mandarin for the first film.

Scientific/power rings instead of Magic ring would be better for me

I wouldn't mind either, but the idea of magic rings just sounds incredible to me. And using that type of magic in creating a dragon in homage to Fin Fang Foom sounds perfect, imo.

The Captain's Order was too LATE

Actually that's not being dumb per se,its being too trigger happy and aggressive

Late as in saying it right before the cop pulls the trigger? Late like that? Yah, I can see how that's late...

Oh, and being trigger happy is dumb when you're a cop. You need a little thing called self control.

I don't remember BB so cant comment about that

Well do some research before you call out one thing being so dumb without knowing what other CBMs did when it comes to the cops.

And he did not,most of his attention was on the Lizard}
He send frecken SWAT with assault rifles

He sent a tiny amount of SWAT that basically had the same protection and weapons as the majority he sent after Spider-Man? Yah, makes sense.

You don't see the difference between Assualt Rifles and Tracers?

I see the same guns being used in both scenes regarding Lizard and Spider-Man? It's a shame if you don't.

How did you get to that conclusion?

Because you see him coming down from a helicopter when they capture Spidey :cwink:

We don't know that and we cant say that from the video

The whole other side of the road is not a hint for ya, huh?

Nope,Not at all
Words cannot decide the *facepalm* I did when Foley went "Every fecken cop in the city is in those tunnels''

It was just lazy writing, they wanted to get the police force out of the way so Bale could take control

So you find it the most ridiculous idea of cops being used in a CBM. Fantastic. Well, I don't and I don't view it lazy writing at all, yay

I saw Immortals. It was pretty good, it had a slow beginning but the last 20 minutes really "saved" the film. Cavil was pretty good in it. 7.5

To kinda bring this back to Spidey, I'm assuming you've all seen the picture of Rhino and the pre-CGI suit. So aside from me having to put my foot in my mouth for guessing Rhino himself wasn't actually in it, what do you all think the suit will look like, or what do you want it to do?

To answer your question, I want it to look like the top photo above this post ^.
A cool mech suit, but with a Spider-Man universe twist.

[Mandarin is Iron Man's Joker/Lex Luthor/Green Goblin. All of Iron Man's Villains are plain terrible,so saying Mandarin is his Joker/Lex Luthor/GG is like 'In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king'...If you're catching my drift

I was never into magic, which is why I hated the character even more
And I am glad he was used in IM1,that movie is a perfect 10 without him

I wouldn't mind either, but the idea of magic rings just sounds incredible to me. And using that type of magic in creating a dragon in homage to Fin Fang Foom sounds perfect, imo.
Well we differ here
I don't like magic, which is why I am not too keep on Mysterio in a movie(even though he is a trickster per se)

Late as in saying it right before the cop pulls the trigger? Late like that? Yah, I can see how that's late...
Still it was late

Oh, and being trigger happy is dumb when you're a cop. You need a little thing called self control.
You know what, the cop wasn't dumb,he did his job. They were supposed to apprehend Spidey and he was doing his job
It was Stacy who acting selfish in letting Spidey go just because his daughter was in danger

Well do some research before you call out one thing being so dumb without knowing what other CBMs did when it comes to the cops.
You must be new here.
I have never defended BB either. It has a lot of flaws aswell.Just like TDKR

He sent a tiny amount of SWAT that basically had the same protection and weapons as the majority he sent after Spider-Man? Yah, makes sense.
What part of 'Assault rifles' and 'tracers' do you not understand?
Those are the same weapons? Yeah right!

I see the same guns being used in both scenes regarding Lizard and Spider-Man? It's a shame if you don't.
Do they use the assault rifles against Spidey?
Did they give the Lizard a warning?

Because you see him coming down from a helicopter when they capture Spidey :cwink:
Exactly,after they capture him
He would have dropped at the Lizard point had they managed to capture him

The whole other side of the road is not a hint for ya, huh?
Maybe it lead to the same destination?
Joker was damn clever,he knew there were two ways to reach there and he blocked the open road, and the SWAT were forced to take the tunnels

^ Lmao
But the action was top notch wasn't it?
I enjoy the whole franchise but definitely not from an artistic standpoint in terms of the film. I am fascinated by how a lot of those crazy stunts were shot and all that but I really only enjoy that world because I know that most of the cast are clowns. Lol like really.

Action was good at places but over the top most of the time.Laws of Physics and Gravity and just swept aside
