Which ones aren't? I can really only think of a hand full. Where the hero is actually saving people and whatnot.

There's plenty of good fight scenes that are not overly exaggerated and over the top. Batman vs. Bane in TDKR, Spider-Man vs. Green Goblin final fight in SM1, Thor vs. Loki, Nightcrawler in X2, just to name a few.

Sure Supe's and Zod's powers open up for some crazy stuff, but they went overboard with it IMO. I'm glad I didn't watch the film in 3D because my head would probably explode then.

My avatar.

OK. Sure. Fine... blah. One fight, there you go.

@Oscorp, I don't mean exaggerated, I mean he's saving people as he fights. There's only a handful. Otherwise it's guy vs guy, exaggerated or not.

Speaking of that, I still love that final fight in SM1! One of the best CBM fights IMO.

Oh yes it, the sheer brutality of it all. The MPAA even forced them to CGI the blood into saliva.

I had hopes that we'd get some brutal action in TASM since Lizard would be the villain. Unfortunately we didn't get that.

Yeah, I suppose Spider-Man is the only who actually saved people in the middle of fights. No one else, really. I guess we can count TASM2 as well since he saves a cop from Electro when the car goes flying.

There's also the airplane scene in Im3 even though it's not really in the middle of the fight .

Really? I don't find that a bad line.
Indeed, a most fitting response to the w**** saying "You're just an empty seat" or whatever useless painful *****ing she does

"You're a monster, Zod. And I'm gonna stop you!"
And saying that to [blackout]the guy destroying the city to kill the planet's entire population[/blackout] is not fitting because.....

"That's what this symbol means, cheese."
You are too critical, too harsh on this movie

He also stops a bus from ramming into people during the Rhino chase I assume.

I read "Amazing Spider-Man Annual #5" today, which is about Peter stumbles upon a trunk which contains documents about his father being a double agent who died in a plane crash. He mentions that he has always wanted to know about them, and Aunt May says how secretive his father was.

Gee, doesn't that sound familiar?

Really cool. I'm not surprised Webb and co would take things like that. They already have with a bunch of stuff.

You should read Ultimate Spider-Man. Peter finds his father's briefcase and it's got scientific notes and whatnot in it. I don't know where exactly they got the idea from since both universes have Peter finding his father's briefcase.

Cavil is a bad actor, IMO. He'd ruin the Bond franchise as he's in the process of ruining the Superman AND Batman one.

I personally think he'd be a great Bond.

I think they got the idea from both in general. I guess the question is which route are they going? Peter's parents being secret agents, or simply scientists who created "the suit" (aka cure for cancer).
